Pros:

Large car park with ev charging.

Cons:

No one to greet you at reception and there was just a skeleton staff. There was a school prom on at the time we arrived and there was great difficulty to get into the hotel for all the traffic.
When we asked about having an evening meal we were initially told that the kitchen was closed. However, it did eventually open.

£147 for 1 night was expensive but couldn't cancel. Day before price was £115 - very annoying
Pros:

Breakfast was OK

Cons:

Pretty much non-existent reception staff. Every time I wanted something I had to go to the bar. I requested a fan because of the heat. Told it would be 10 minutes. Didn't arrive so after 30 minutes I had to go back to the bar to get one. Room safe had been left locked so I had to go the bar to request assistance. Told it would be 10 minutes ended up most like 25 minutes.

Warning: Ensure you do this!!!
Pros:

URGENT: please ensure you check and double check everything before you leave this hotel. Once you leave it is impossible to contact them. Main number is covered by a Chatbot which is malfunctioning. There is a second number listed on google, this is answered with a pre-recorded message, The Crown Hotel and lists your options. Option 1 is for the reception. I tried consistently over three days, at different times, holding for up to 10 minutes without any success.
E-mail, still waiting for acknowledgment and response to a very serious matter.
Ensure, if you used the carpark, that this as been recorded properly with the Third Party Carpark Management company. Despite paying the correct amount for the correct period, I received a £100 penalty notice for just 1 of my two day stay.

Very clean, friendly hotel. Excellent staff and accomodation
Pros:

A lovely hotel and grounds. Everywhere clean and well kept. We had an accessible room which is large with a wet floor shower and plenty of grab handles. It is near the delivery point outside and the car park so woken early by vans and but not really an issue. Beds clean and comfortable. environmentally friendly so housekeeping done on request. Breakfast and dinner very nice with plenty of choice. Staff are all friendly and work so hard, nothing is too much trouble. Special mention for Zoe, Natalie and Angela who worked like troopers in extreme heat this week and still kept smiling. Kept us topped up with water and ice. All staff friendly and helpful. We go back quite often so that says it all

Peace and friendly relaxation
Pros:

Friendly staff relaxed atmosphere

Cons:

Shower bath needed an additional hand bar to get in and out safely. A simple shelf would be helpful to hold shampoo.

Great staff - Electric check in though 🤷🏻‍♂️
Pros:

Your staff are really great (bar and restaurant) - BUT electronic check in takes away “personal touch” when you arrive (and was a bit of a pain when few arrived at once with only one screen ) .
Musty smell in room and hall ways - nothing a few diffusers wouldn’t fix . Shower weak and shower curtain dated .
Evening Meal & breakfast food and service was very good .
Nice looking hotel - few extra touches - could be excellent
