The bar area was especially warm welcoming.
Interesting signing in procedure using a touch screen activating the room key - worked well.
Room was clean well laid and bed was comfortable.
Met expectations
Pleasant stay
Poor bedroom decoration
The grounds are beautiful and the bar area is lovely
The room was one and dated
The bed was horrendously soft and uncomfortable
The pillows were soft and thin
The duvet was like toilet paper
The staff, especially Natalie.. Really friendly bunch.
The room was a bit dated also hadn't been cleaned properly
We were upgraded to an exec double room which was lovely.
Bed was huge and super comfy.
Lots of Bathroom treats provided, plus extras on the tea/coffee tray.
Lovely breakfast with a great choice of options.
Staff are always so totally lovely from reception to cleaning ladies through to the restaurant staff who go the extra mile every time we stay.
Staff
No aircon
Friendly staff
Upgraded for an executive suite to be near daughter on her wedding day only to be at the entire other end off the hotel!. Room was shabby especially the bathroom with no extraction and was red hot even though it wasn’t that hot outside.
all of it
beds too soft
easy to find staff friendly
booking.com photos mislead you into thinking its a quality property with nice rooms but its actually very basic accommodation and not as we expected. the finish to the room is very basic - no frills no real comfort
reception closed on arrival at 4pm
It was in a good location
Dirty, no hot water staff said it would be working in 30 minutes but it never worked. No staff on the desk at check in or at check out so couldn’t make a complaint. The room was dirty there was a stain and hair on the bedding. No fan in the room and the bathroom had black mould around the bath and dirty towels. Very noisy didn’t have any sleep as you can hear all the cars in the car park and the people in other rooms banging the door all night. The room needs decorating there was like white lumps on the wall.
Very disappointed in the hotel and the facilities definitely isn’t worth £89.
The girls on the bar and reception were extremely helpful, polite, and personable. They enhanced our stay. The offer on alcohol this week was incredible, and the food from the restaurant was delicious and good value for money. Nice bar area. Easy to park.
The room (225) was awfully difficult to get to, too many stairs and quite precarious. It was also rather tired, with lots of touching-up required, we don't mind old, but this is in need of a good makeover. Being at the top of the building, it was much too warm, and the fan supplied was insufficient for the weather at this time of the year. Also, very dusty, which set my wife's allergies off something rotten. There was no housekeeping either, so we had to bring any rubbish or dishes from room service down ourselves, which we do not mind doing normally, but those stairs!. That said, we have stayed a number of times and we will again. Thank you.
Beautiful
The hall and grounds are lovely
The staff friendly
Nice big rooms with great sized beds.
Not keen on self check in especially for more than 1 room
Could have done with slip mat for the bath/shower.
Breakfast presentation and content need significant improvement.
It was in the perfect location for where I needed to be… free parking was a bonus.. the property itself was quirky with a mixture of old & new look … the food was exceptional, however I only had my evening meal but the quality was excellent!!
The room could do with some updating… I don’t know what was happening underneath the bottom sheet as something was lumpy but it didn’t stop me on getting a good sleep… I was shocked to find all the sheets lying on the floor outside the rooms of those who were checking out which I feel are not very hygienic as they are lay on the carpet in the corridor.
