De locatie aan de Rijn en tegelijkertijd in het centrum is een mooie combinatie. Ook was de dame bij het uitchecken erg vriendelijk en oplossingsgericht.
Wel maakt deze locatie het parkeren erg moeilijk. Dat betekent dat je over straat moet met al je bagage. Ook de naam van het hotel was aan de buitenkant niet te lezen en het hotel was moeilijk te vinden. De kamer was erg klein, het bed óók 140cm welke met één kant tegen de muur aan stond. Er is geen airco, (de temperatuur buiten was 38 graden!) de kamer was bloedheet en het water uit de kranen was niet koud. Er stond geen water op de kamer en tot overmaat van ramp was er veel lawaai vanaf de straat. Dit ging door tot 03.00uur in de nacht terwijl om 6.00uur het werkverkeer opstartte. Omdat we op doorreis waren vanuit Italië naar huis, is dit hotel geen plek gebleken waar we konden uitrusten.

The location is perfect for overlooking the river, perfect for being central and tram just outside. Staff are wonderfully friendly and welcoming. Whole hotel is clean, room clean and beds comfortable. Also great price compared to other properties in Basel, especially taking into account the location.
No air conditioning, though there was a fan in the room. We planned to leave the balcony door open for fresh air as the heat was unbearable, unfortunately there was a music event or live band right outside the window on the river bank, though it was still loud with door closed.

la mancanza di aria condizionata però la posizione e la vista compensano. il problema è che le finestre prendono sole con raggi perpendicolari alla facciata tutto il pomeriggio. ci sono delle tende che si possono abbassare per intercettare la radiazione solare e poi si abbassano le tapparelle così si risolve. meglio evitare i periodi più caldi.
Loved the view from the balcony and the location for all of our site seeing. We were able to hit many of the key things we wanted to see on our overnight stay.
This is no fault of the hotel, but it was really hot (almost 100° F) in Basel the day we stayed and the room got crazy warm. The small fan was not enough to do anything. Thankfully it cooled down a little at night. Just be wary of the weather, as there is no AC.

Da es keine Klimaanlage in den Zimmer gab, war es sehr heiss
Super Lage direkt am Rhein mit fantastischem Ausblick und ideal zum Rheinschwimmen, da man direkt vom Hotel aus starten kann! Das Hotel ist trotz der kürzlichen Soft-Renovierung an manchen Stellen etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Gerade im Sommer ist die fehlende Klimaanlage ein Minuspunkt. Dafür ist das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Insgesamt vor allem wegen der Lage, des tollen Rheinblicks und der perfekten Ausgangslage zum Schwimmen eine gute Wahl für Basel.

Het uitzicht op de Rijn met het ontbijt was prachtig. De kamer was schoon, ook met mooi uitzicht. Locatie was perfect. Aan een mooie brug waarmee je naar het oude gedeelte van de stad gaat.
Enige minpuntje was dat de kamer geen airco had, alleen een elektrische waaier. Het was te doen met de warmte en ik zou teruggaan.
