The hotel location was part of my short vacation. And I was sadly disappointed.
Pros:

The breakfast selection was very good. The quality of the food was very decent. Especially for a hotel breakfast. The kitchen staff was very kind and efficient. The housekeeping was very thorough and accommodating. The front desk staff was cheerful and helpful.

Cons:

My room did not match the description of the room I booked. I paid a larger rate for a room with a balcony and a city view. Which would be facing downtown San Diego. My room was only on the fifth floor, and facing directly into the hotel next door. When I asked about it, they only shrugged their shoulders. Nothing was resolved.

If you book on booking.com you are treated differently
Pros:

The location. Close by all the places I wanted to visit.

Cons:

The staff, I arrived around 1:45pm, check in was at 3pm. I asked if I could check in. The staff checked and said. Your room "type" (Booking) do not have early check in. Come back later. I said ok, no problem. She asked if I would like a parking pass. I told her it was OK. I am going across the street to the harbor. I was not aware you have to pay for parking at the harbor. So I went back across the street. Which was only 5 minutes ago. There was a male employee. Daven, I asked if I can have a parking pass. He said let me check you reservation. And he said your room is ready.

The TV in my room was old and out dated and I could nor use the app.
