Best Western Aku Tiki Inn

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! My family and I spent two days here last week and this hotel needs a major upgrade! We booked a city view and our so called city view was the damn parking lot I don’t see how that’s a city view??? Our room was ok but had some safety issues. The bed sides had a stand in middle between the beds and on the floor was a board and you could tell it was cut out and behind it was a serious fire hazard with all these cords hanging out. The top part of the stand the outlets were broken and the outlet barely had a charge for my phone. There was a burnt mark on the floor by the little kitchen area. We had a small stove top area but they don’t provide you with any cooking items so if you want to cook you have to go buy yourself a pan or pot!!!! The bathroom seemed dirty especially the shower and the outlet cover was coming off which is another fire hazard. The carpet smells like pee I had to bend down to plug in my phone and it smelt so bad. We asked for a different room but were told there was none. I believe they have a lot of rooms that can’t be rented due to issues. My husband said the third floor smelled horrible he had to go up there for the ice machine and he saw a lot of issues up there. The pool area needs major tlc they gave caution tape over areas that they just ignored to fix along with the men’s bathroom my husband said there was caution tape on the urinal and it was super disgusting. The pool is also super cloudy and it looks dirty because of it. They don’t care to fix anything here and just throw caution tape on it and call it a day! I definitely don’t recommend staying here at all save your money and book somewhere else. Here our some photos I took of our room

Bardzo miła obsługa zwłaszcza Pani na recepcji z niczym nie było problemu nawet jak drzwi od pokoju nie zamykały się odrazu dostaliśmy nowy pokój. Ręczniki czyste codziennie, naczynia do aneksu dostaliśmy po zgłoszeniu co potrzebujemy.

Collin the front desk attendant was very helpful and went out of his way fir us due to a bad experience at another hotel.

The rooms seem to be updated since the last time I went which was a good thing, they went from carpet to tiles inside the rooms which is a big plus. The beds were comfortable and clean.

We came here for a couples overnight getaway after finding a last minute good rate on Expedia. The check-in process took forever even though they said the room would be ready by 3 o’clock. They told us to keep coming back. We went back at 4 o’clock, and it was still not ready. I was about to cancel and finally they said the room was ready, but the lobby was hot and miserable with tons of people waiting around. NO AC!! The room itself was very nice. We were on the third floor with a partial ocean view and the room was very spacious and accommodating and had a nice view and the temperature was good in the room and in the hallway the pool itself was very nice, but the music was very loud, although the DJ was very good. The ice machine was not working and I had to go to the restaurant to get ice. There was an unexpected $8 parking charge. On site restaurant was nice.

Close to beach

Room was not in great state. The lights did not work and there was paint crumbling on ceiling. Did report but these did not get fixed. Other than that the room size was good. The location was fantastic next to the beach. The staff were very nice, particularly Collin.

The pool size was fantastic although very exposed in the sun. There were no umberella's around pool loungers and these are essential given the intensity of the Florida sun.

The sunrises from the oceanfront room and balcony, the beach; breakfast was the best part of our stay.
However, we had to pay a descent price though.
Overall, the place is laid back and relaxing. The beach is private so you don't see it over crowded.
Great for the family!

Friendly staff except for the Manager with a major attitude problem.. Every one besides her was FANTASTIC

Love the location of the hotel, right by the beach. Lots of parking space; however, I don't think we should be charged daily for parking if we are staying in the hotel. The rooms were clean but had some small things that needed to be repaired.
Also the key cards were getting mixed up and not working; we had another family walk in to one of our rooms.
The location was perfect, close by to a lot of restaurants and stores. Breakfast is not as is used to be, free and a buffet. However, it was a descent price and very well cooked. The waitress was very kind and attentive.
Overall, we had lots of fun!
