I'm genuinely torn about writing this review... because the last thing I want is for everyone to discover Quite Simply French and make it impossible for us to book again!
But they deserve every bit of praise.
We stayed in the apartment in June for a romantic birthday celebration, and it was, without question, the most incredible place we've ever stayed. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel less like guests and more like old friends. The whole team are warm, welcoming, and seem determined to give 110% to make your stay unforgettable.
The apartment is stunning beautifully finished, immaculately clean, and so comfortable that we seriously considered "accidentally" missing checkout.
Then there's the restaurant... wow. Every course was exceptional, the wine pairings were absolutely spot on, and the atmosphere struck that perfect balance between relaxed and special. It made for an unforgettable birthday evening.
It's rare to find somewhere that gets absolutely everything right accommodation, food, wine, service, and genuine hospitality but Quite Simply French manages it effortlessly.
So, against my better judgement, I'm sharing our secret. Just do me one favour... leave a table and the apartment free for us next time!

Having to leave! We genuinely struggled to find a single fault. If I'm being really picky, the only downside is that everyone will read reviews like this and it'll be even harder for us to book the apartment next time!

The heating system was impossible to control . I could not get the room temperature below 26 degrees which made for an unpleasant experience . The man showing me the room was rushed and didn’t really explain how the system worked.

The technology is challenging!
The room was absolutely stunning and comfortable. We got an upgrade to the Gillow room, spacious and had a free standing bath as well as a comfortable bed.
There’s a highly rated restaurant below overlooking the river, definitely request for a riverside view.
The staff were friendly and helpful.

Our room only had opening roof windows so a little claustrophobic when it’s warm I guess ( they do open electrically, but not when it rains !! )

A lot of thought went into the decoration and latest technology on the fixtures and fittings.
We stayed during a hot day found the room to be impossible hot and the fan provided was so noisy and not effective that we could not sleep at all until 3am.
Breakfast was delicious and served by a very nice and attentive waitress, loved the crockery and all the little details like the milk churn and butter served on a dish, lovely coffee too
