Clean good service and great staff.
Pros:

Location is nothing to get excited about. Plenty of box stores and traffic. Hotel was clean, very friendly and informative welcome. All staff were professional and kind. Hotel has seen some updates. Rooms were clean and in good shape with new tvs and renovated bathrooms. Breakfast that was included had good options. Overall a decent place for a quick night if travelling.

Good hotel. Big and comfort rooms
Pros:

Comfy rooms. Free parking, 2 restaurants.

The gym is basic and the pool is decent. The only issue would be the loudness of the doors when closing. You know when everyone comes and goes in your proximity. Cleaners are amazing. The front end are friendly and they have a snack shack type of thing is you get hungry in the night. Good location with plenty to do around and close to city

Stayed here multiple times. This visit made me rethink staying again
Pros:

My wife and I stayed at the Delta Calgary South for one night in June. I’ve stayed here multiple times in the past, and have never had any real issues.

I’ll start with the good: I received an upgrade to a suite due to my Bonvoy titanium status (more on that in a minute). But that’s it.

On check-in I learned that they had gotten rid of their lounge and were now offering access to a Delta Pantry, and complimentary buffet breakfast for titanium members. The lounge here was always a decent quiet place to go and enjoy a decent evening snack, breakfast or drinks etc.

Check in took a minute due to large groups of lacrosse teams / families arriving. We Got upgraded to an executive suite, which normally would be a good thing, but in this case, due to its location overlooking the atrium, it was horrible. All evening kids were running around and in the pool. Not the end of the world, but those same kids then graduated to running down the halls, slamming doors, yelling etc. Until almost midnight.

In the morning we got woken up to a ton of people in the atrium, clanging dishes, yelling etc. Normally this hotel is quiet as opposed to downtown hotels, but this was not the case this time. We eventually went down to eat and stood in a massive line to get to the buffet. Stood there for what seemed like forever, likely around 10 minutes before we gave up and got a few things from the pantry. We had to take those items to our room because they only had 3 tables set aside for non lacrosse people, and the noise was unbearable.

All in all a poor experience that will really make me rethink coming back.

I enjoyed the fact we had the opportunity to stay in a beautiful and comfortable room

Cons:

There was a trash bin outside our window, thankful to have not smelt the trash.

AC doesn’t work, room heats up the whole time
Pros:

AC doesn’t work in rooms, they installed thermostats they themselves admit do not work, no doubt trying to save money.

They did offer for me to switch rooms to a whole different tower but honestly who wants to do that after already unloading everything??? That’s there only solution.
