Pros:

Lage: Nähe zur English Bay, Stanley Park und den vielen Geschäften und Restaurants auf Davie und Denman Streets ist super. Gute Verkehrsanbindung mit öffentlichen Bussen.

Cons:

Die Klimaanlagen (Einheiten, die nachträglich in die Fenster eingesetzt wurden) sind, alt, laut und verbreiten schlechten Geruch. Schlafen bei offenen Fenstern ist trotz des milden Klimas in Vancouver keine Option, da die lebhafte Straße und insbesondere die vielen Busse an der unterhalb gelegenen Bushaltestelle die ganze Nacht Lärm machen.

Good stay, bathroom light not a good set up
Pros:

Good experience at sands best western staying end of August midweek. Found the parking was pretty tight until we found the upper parking, which there was plenty of. Room had a musty smell, which was cleared out shortly with air on and window open.

No fan in the bathroom. Also bathroom light is connected to a switch outside the bathroom, which is also connected to the light outside of the bathroom. Not a great set up for sleeping companions with late night bathroom visits.

Nespresso coffee machine and pharmacopia citrus body wash, shampoo, conditioner. Good shower.

Comfy beds and everything is clean. Has a great location steps away from the beach!

Great location and quick access to Stanley Park and the ease of using public transport just a few steps from the hotel.
Pros:

Location, facilities and staff. So glad there was a self serve laundry for guests to use.

Cons:

Nothing worth mentioning.

Pros:

Location was excellent. Staff were helpful. Pub on site was excellent and even has a comedy show in the Cellar that was fabulous.

Cons:

You can tell its an older hotel. It has been updated for sure, but I would not consider it "modern".

Good Value and central location
Pros:

the location is fantastic, take the 5 bus to anywhere downtown on Robson street and shopping area by pacific center just search for Lululemon or roots store. Bus 23 to beach area and then take the aquabus to Granville island. if you need to rent a car for the day, do it at Enterprise Car Rental, avoid Independent Car Rental @opportune hotel. breakfast from the Park restaurant is totally worth it. lots of good food on Denman street. Bike rental across the street is a must with 10% off from staying at the Sands. If you travel with kids during the summer, check out the pool by 2nd beach which is 18 minute walk from the hotel, our kids had a great time.

Cons:

the room is small and the elevator is super slow. Housekeeping staff kept asking to skip cleaning our room. The Window A/C was super loud but you can't sleep without it when it's warm and humid outside.

Très beau séjour!
Pros:

Super emplacement près de la plage, de Stanley Park, de restaurants et d'une piste cyclable.
Petit dejeuner inclus n'est pas un buffet mais à la carte. Souvent des erreurs mais très bons.

Cons:

Pas de piscine.
Bouteilles de savon pas remplies.

Great value considering the menu breakfast the next day.
Pros:

Location being close to beach was great. Lots of choices to eat out in walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was great, lots of menu choices.

Cons:

AC worked but seemed to struggle keeping the room cool. Considering the age of the premise & the nightlife of being popular it tended to be a bit loud at times from traffic/sirens. No fault of the hotel, just something to consider for staying in a busy area close to street level.

The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was a walk in and we loved that.
Good amenities.
We absolutely loved the location. It was minutes away from the nicest beach, with a beautiful sunset. I would stay there again....and again.

A reasonable tourist hotel, even if it looks and feels a bit old.
Pros:

Staff at reception were always friendly and helpful.
Room was big.
Two queen sized beds were a bonus.
Bathroom was what we needed.
Parking was easy to access and relatively cheap.
Hotel is in a good location - English Bay has a wide range of restaurants and good bus service to other parts of the city.
Good tourist hotel, even if it looks and feels a bit worn out.

Cons:

A/C unit (a split unit under the window) was noisy, but thankfully it worked.
The windows do not offer much insulation from outside noise, especially loud people and cars on Davie Street well after midnight. But heck, its a tourist hotel after all.
