Excellent value for money
Pros:

The hotel had a lovely feel to it with lots of character. Upon arrival staff were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was comfortable with everything we needed in it (including tea, coffee, toiletries and even robes and even 2 fans as it was pretty warm ). We stayed here as it was close to where our son was graduating just a short walk away.
There was plenty of parking and breakfast was fab too. A stay definitely worth the money, many thanks!

Attractive, handy mid-range hotel with friendly staff but rooms can be too hot!

Tasty breakfast with a good range of food options.
Polite and helpful staff.
Comfortable bed.
Location re. the station and general accessibility.
The conservatory area and shady side walk by the church was attractive.
The old lift was a very interesting feature!

Cons:

We were initially given a room on the top floor (301) which was hotter than we could bear and had virtually no ventilation and no air con.
We asked to be swapped to a room on a lower level which we were and whilst still too warm was a lot more bearable. The only room available with aircon was directly over the function room and was expected to be noisy till midnight.
A lounge area near the bar on the ground floor was handy but the chairs/sofas were uncomfortable and the TV too small for a room of that size.
The car park was quite tight and bumpy so I had to be very careful getting the car out on our day of departure.

good location, not easy to find a city centre hotel with parking.

only minor point - it was very hot and would have been nice to have a sheet to sleep under - the duvet was too heavy

Was there for the cricket at Nottingham. Price and location made it more cost effective.
Pros:

Breakfast confusing. One day table service, next day was asked to make up my own plate.

Kettle and tea making in wardrobe rather than on an open area.
