Lovely Hotel our room was spotless the staff are very helpful special Thank you to the staff in the restaurant who were very helpful and very knowledgeable organising a Gluten free breakfast made us feel at ease
We were allocated a room in the gate house which wasn’t a problem lovely room until the room adjacent to ours a rather large family arrived and the peace and quiet ended, We decided to see if the was a room available on the main site we was told that the was only a executive room available at an extra cost of £70 we thought it was just to much to pay the reception staff were very helpful and found us a room at cheaper price ,next time we book we would check first that our room is on the main site
Lovely setting and up to date clean well appointed rooms and common areas
I really think that they should make a better effort with the continental breakst table. There was simply a gesture provision of pastries and not much else. The coffe and tea self serve may look clever but really it is just gimmicky.
Everything, the room, the layout, the price, the staff, the breakfast.

I booked this on behalf of my daughter and son-in-law who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. They loved everything especially the rose petals on the bed and anniversary card on the bed. They used the pool which they said was spot on. Dinner was “amazing” with plenty to eat and breakfast was lovely too. Lovely hotel in a very handy location. The staff were truly lovely.

From going through the door a lovely ambience. Staff couldnt do enough for you. A Special place. The Walled Garden Restaurant was an experience. Food excellent and Staff attentive. Our King room was spotlessly clean and a View of the beautiful calming garden.
Not keen on Buffet help yourself breakfasts. They are always luke warm and people leave the lids open! Bacon tray was swimming in grease!! And unfortunately from Midnight to 4am ...one couple in the next room were argueing!! The hotel apologised for that ...its not their fault its the idiot minority of being drunk.

The afternoon tea was lovely
That we were required to pay £100 bond deposit on check in. We were 2 ladies staying for 1 night having afternoon tea and using the spa. I could understand it if we were a larger group staying for a few days. I was not made aware of this when booking. I have never been asked to pay a bond for an overnight stay or weekend away anywhere and I did not think that this was appropriate. Unfortunately this has put us off re-booking again.
everything from being greated at reception with a smile, to having a lovely room, great breakfast, and a laugh with the night manager 👍 staff are always welcoming love the the place.****
