You need to be assured of a good nights sleep so very disappointed.
Pros:

Modern, good amenities, comfy bed and lovely breakfast

Cons:

First bedroom was stuffy no ac but when windows open could hear other ac units so asked to move as I’m a light sleeper. We were assured the new room was very quiet but when we returned late at night we were kept awake by the lift every 10 minutes or so through the night until 3am when I had to ring reception to ask to be moved AGAIN. We were moved by the night manager but as soon as we settled the couple in the next room were rowing for the next hour! Not the hotels fault but the walls must be paper thin. We won’t be staying there again.

On par with a travelodge, not at all worth the money
Pros:

The beds were comfy

Cons:

There was a prom being held on the evening we arrived, at no point before our stay were we told about this so we pulled up to find a car park heaving with probably over 100 people standing about taking pictures, people being dropped off in tractors, loud supercars blasting their horns etc, then had to walk through this massive crowd to try to get into the hotel. We paid for spa access, and only *after* our payment was taken were we informed we could only use it twice and that we had to prebook to use it. We were in town due to a bereavement and had hoped to use the spa in the few bits of downtime we had between appointments etc just to relax, but the booking element made this impossible - to be fair, we did get this cost refunded. The electric fan in our room was ridiculous to the point it was unusable - the safety cage refused to stay on, and the blades had giant chunks missing out of them meaning it made a horrendous noise any time it was turned on, making it impossible to sleep, so we just had to deal with a boiling hot room. I know we could have contacted reception but given the circumstances we were visiting for, it was just "one more thing" to have to deal with, and the staff were fairly indifferent anyway. The bathroom was very poor for this level of hotel, the silicone sealant around the bath/shower had been stuck on like cake icing and the bath itself was full of dried blobs of silicone, and the sink plughole was very rusty. The walls are incredibly thin between rooms - you can hear people in the next room turning on sockets and plugging things in. If you want tea or coffee making facilities, be warned these are hidden inside a small cupboard, there was a small black box between two speakers on top of the cupboard which makes it look like part of a sound system - nope, those are your nespresso pods, which we found out about 10 minutes before we checked out.

Pleasant overnight stay en route home northbound, would upgrade to air con room if staying longer
Pros:

Location, easy access to motorway nice gardens, tasty evening meal in restaurant, bedding and towels good quality, fresh milk available on room floor for coffee and ice machine. Plentiful comfortable seating option around the hotel lobby. Iron & ironing board in room.

Cons:

£10.00pp for spa access, only planned a quick half hour swim so didn’t bother to use. Bathroom very small, room was too hot as heating had been on when we arrived, a fan was available but room stayed too hot all night.

Very comfortable with a warm and welcoming atmosphere
Pros:

All of the staff members were very professional, attentive and polite, an absolute credit to the hotel.

The food was delicious and well presented. For dinner I had the Belly Pork and it was cooked to perfection and one of the best I have tasted. Compliments to the chef.

The outdoor space was a major bonus, especially on such a warm day (mid 20’s). I slept with the window wide open and was not disturbed by any noise coming from within the hotel or surrounding area.

Cons:

The Grounds were an amazing space, however I thought the gardens, especially the gravel area at the back, could do with a little “tidying up”.

The gravel area needed weeding and the table and chairs (even on the patio, by the restaurant door) had a lot of “old” spiders webs. This may seem minuscule for many, however an Arachnophobic’s nightmare, due to the sheer quantity! The webs also attached themselves to our clothing, which could be a problem if we were dressed for a special occasion.

These observations may appear rather petty or even insignificant, but both things took away from the absolute beauty and tranquility of the grounds. This made the rear and Walled Garden seem slightly neglected.

Lots of positives. Well organised hotel. Would have liked a longer stay!
Pros:

Very efficient at reception. Overall look of room was good. Bathroom looked good- clean, impressive tiles on floor. Up to date suite.
Good tea tray - nice height
Good choice at breakfast - especially liked the fresh fruit tower, melon slices. Appreciated the hot drink machine. Hot water worked well.

Cons:

Decor of room could be described as tad dark. Wood furniture, dark curtains, cushions etc. I guess more serviceable
Shower was a tadge week in stream. Not expecting a power shower as such but maybe a little more powerful.
Staying day after heatwave. Room was still very warm. Would it have helped to open window around lunchtime?? Maybe sun is on that side? Worth exploring.
Only saw 2 breakfast staff - did wonder if that was enough? All plates cleared and food appearance of tables.

Pros:

The hotel apart from location has nothing nice going for it.

Cons:

The smell of drains greets you once u enter the hotel. They have tried to camouflage with air fresheners which doesn't address the route cause. The hotel itself is very basic and nowhere near a 4* hotel more like 2*. Hotel room had a comfortable bed but the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable.

Excellent service and breakfast, room could benefit from air conditioning.
Pros:

Very nice atmosphere and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

Cons:

Our room was a little further than what we anticipated as my wife is disabled.
The room was extremely warm even with the fan on as there was no air conditioning.

I would certainly visit the hotel again. I had come to visit my friend who lived fairly near the hotel. I would say plea
Pros:

Helpful staff, nice surroundings. The grounds were well kept. Fresh milk and ice available in the corridor on the first and second floor.

Cons:

The continental breakfast wasn’t great tiny pastries, and factory sliced bread.
The standard bedroom bathroom was very small hardly any room to move.
