Payment, Deposit & Pre-Authorization:
Unless prior arrangements are in place, we will process payment for your stay on arrival to the hotel. The hotel requires a valid credit card to be presented upon check-in for the registering guest. The card should match the name of the reservation as made and must be presented for Chip & Pin verification. It is not possible to pre-pay for a third party guest due to GDPR and privacy restrictions. We reserve the right to receive payment or request pre-authorization of the full amount for the stay period based on the credit card details provided upon check-in. We do not accept cash payment for room reservations. We do not accept debit cards to secure rooms or for pre-authorization on check-in due to ongoing issues with releasing same. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause guests.
Please note that the Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize the booker’s credit card up to 4 days prior to arrival. This places the pre-authorized amount in a holding state which also temporarily reduces one’s credit limit. The pre-authorization is not a charge and no funds will be debited from the account at this point, this will also not be reflected in the credit card statement since no charge has been made. The credit limit will be released back to the cardholder within one week depending on the issuing bank.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

L'habitació que ens van donar no tenia cap finestra exterior. Donava a un celobert en un sòtan que donava a un passadís. En general no sembla un hotel de 4 estrelles.
It's a nice hotel. A little dated. Food is nice also. Good atmosphere in the bar area. Breakfast is great, great choices.

I had stayed at the International in December, with 2 of my nieces and it was a nice stay. Unfortunately, it's gone down hill since then. I stayed in August, 2026 with my other niece and the room was SO small that it didn't comfortably fit out luggage. Additionally, the back of TV remote was missing so they just put tape over the batteries instead of replacing the whole remote - cheap! I found out from a local that there is new ownership and that is what I attribute the decline to; no longer family run. I will find a new hotel to stay at next time I'm in Killarney.
On the positive side, the location is great and the staff were friendly.

Once again we've stayed at the International hotel and once again it has exceeded our expectations. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel special. Staff can't do enough for you and always pleasant and courteous. Looking forward to our next visit.
Excellent location, old but well maintained clean property; restuarant provides very nice food; Cooked Breakfast was of exceptional quality.
We had the most wonderful experience at the International Hotel yesterday, celebrating the birthdays of my mum and mother-in-law.
From the moment we walked through the door, the welcome was so warm and genuine. We didn’t even have a booking, but the team couldn’t have been more accommodating and made us feel so welcome.
A special mention to the lovely Dara, who, when he heard it was the birthday girls’ special day, kindly brought them both a glass of champagne — such a thoughtful touch! 🥂 The food was absolutely stunning, and they were also treated to beautiful birthday plates.
Catriona then very kindly came over, made a big fuss of the birthday girls and really went above and beyond to make the day feel special. It was those little touches that made such a difference.
We’re local to Killarney and always recommend the International Hotel to anyone visiting, and yesterday was a perfect reminder of why. We don’t go all the time, but it’s such a lovely place for a special occasion or even just a nice lunch.
We had such a fabulous day and genuinely felt so well looked after and special. A huge thank you to all the staff for making my mum and mother-in-law’s birthday lunch one to remember. ❤️

International hotel always is a pleasant place to stay in Killarney with good food and pleasant staff .
The air conditioning was welcomed. The cocktails and service were impeccable. Parking was easily accessible in the public lot.
We would skip breakfast next time. It wasn’t great and we could find something local for much better. Other than breakfast this hotel was fabulous.
