Excellent staff, great manager. Location was good, with spacious free car park. Food choices at bar were excellent. Breakfast was excellent.
Undoubtedly much refurb is needed. Bedoom was hot, but it may have been the hottest ever day in Wales !
Friendly staff, lovely breakfast and a nice relaxing stay.
the food was great and the down stairs was nice and clean.
the bedroom was not very clean there was long grey hairs on the floor and small sofa which must have been from previous guests.
Fabulous friendly staff, doggy friendly, the most beautiful breakfast and great location to explore Anglesey
Nothing
The owner introduced us when we arrived and gave us the most comprehensive hotel info guide. The room was spacious and spotless. The evening meal was brilliant (steak cooked to perfection without breaking the bank) . The breakfast kept us going until 4 in the afternoon!! Ps We were hiking round the island , so for food to keep us full for that long was amazing!!
Nothing!@
The property had character in that it was old and quirky.
The property is in my opinion in need of a deep clean and a spruce up. The bed was uncomfortable, pillows not fresh and hair in the shower tray.
Peaceful, full of character, good breakfast
Corridor floor uneven
Clean and tidy family run hotel. Very generous food portions on evening meal. Absolutely great prices in the bar and lounge - such a difference to many hotels where I have stayed where you are hit in the pocket for drinking in the bar. It's very much a local hub in the small town and full all the nights we were there. The locals are friendly and happy to strike up a conversation. It's a great place for a stop off and stay before catching the Hollyhead ferry, which is not that far away. We were unfortunately staying over to attend a funeral and by coincidence, The Dinorben hosted the wake, which was a quality spread and - again - generous portions... I promise you will never starve here. This is a well run private ( non chain ) hotel... Give it your love and support if you are in the area..
The only possible downside is the hotel is a little " tired " but that can be said of many small family run hotels I have visited. That was more that made up for by the kind attentive staff, generous ( and very reasonably priced ) food and just the most wonderfully low priced bar...
Room very quiet and good size. Staff very polite and helpful
No dislikes
Réception très accueillante et suivi attentif.
Rien de spécial
Historical place that is beautifully kept, with big bedrooms, hot water for a bath and amazing breakfast!
The staff were great, very welcoming. The food was really nice, a special thanks to the Lady that served us. The Guinness was a very good pint. The breakfast was everything you would expect from a top-notch hotel, we were made to feel like nothing was a problem.
The chairs in the bedroom didn't feel safe. Sadly, i forgot to mention this on checking out, so in fairness, they might not know
absolutely brilliant hotel, and owners Veronica & Gary were so welcoming, breakfast was amazing , as was our evening meals (went out once big mistake). room was checked everyday and refilled with tea coffee etc, been here a few times now and will return , so friendly and definitely value for what you pay , well done to everyone who works there .. nothing was to much trouble for them. lovely views near the port 5 mins away
Very dog friendly
Parking
Excellent breakfast
Proper pub food
Quite a dated property but clean , comfortable and the staff were exceptional.
Great food . Tasty and good value for money.
On the down side the decor was old fashioned and the main bed was a bit lumpy so I slept in the single bed . No 14 . Family room. Able to take the dogs and plenty of beaches for walkies.
I normally stay on the opposite side of the island but was good to do some more exploring of the island.
We ate breakfast each morning. Full cooked and really delicious.
Evening meal we were going to go out but as food was so good and great price we stayed in on both evenings. Recommend.
Piping hot. Tasty and great efficient friendly service.
Location.
Personal choice as I prefer the other side of the island . Better beaches.
