Was close to the airport and free airport shuttle. Bed was comfortable.
Very dated, worn out and damaged furniture. Building felt old and not kept up. Dirty and stained carpet in room and hallways. In general state of disrepair throughout building and rooms. Restaurant was not as described in hotel advertisement.
The air conditioning did not work well or at all, it was a hot evening and couldn’t sleep because of that. And it was really noisy and not working. Also the bathroom had a few curious bugs. I get it is budget hotel but AC has to work in the summer. Had to leave window open which made me uncomfortable as it was not secure all night.
Grossly overpriced due to the perceived high demand due to the FIFA World Cup soccer!!!!

Large room..Bed was fairly comfortable.
We we arrived for our first nights stay our reservation had been cancelled by Booking com. Upon further investigation we found that the hotel had cancelled the reservation (probably because the FIFA matches were coming up shortly and the hotel wanted to rent the room at a the higher rate than I booked.) They ended up giving us the room at the price that I booked. I will NEVER stay at the hotel again. It is overprices, the community restroom in the lobby was a mess, and the desk clerk was not friendly at all. Take my advice-stay somewhere else.
The Abercorn is close the airport with comfortable beds. The staff are pleasant.
The hotel needs a lot of maintenance and a good scrub. The gym looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for years. The breakfast is very basic served on disposable plates and cutlery.
The shuttle to and from the airport was easy to use
The room was dirty. There was mold all over the bathroom. The breakfast was pathetic. At $500 a night this was abysmal
The bed was comfortable and room was a good size.
The hotel is old - needs upgrading. Staff were not particularly helpful or friendly. Breakfast was disappointing and the breakfast room is grim. The 'gym' should be removed from the list of facilities - not clean, only a treadmill and stationary bike and a weights frame that is past it's best and not maintained.

A reliable comfortable place close to the Vancouver airport. Even with inflation, good value.
We just stayed one night here because of our cruise the next day. The room was comfortable and clean, and there was a great breakfast spread in the morning. We really appreciated the free shuttle to and from the airport! The staff was very helpful. My husband and I took a walk on a nearby trail through residential areas that was quiet and pretty. Some restaurants and shops nearby.
The only disappointment for me was the fitness room- almost no equipment and in poor condition.
