Amazing service, great food, clean and has a nice vibe.
For the Room price i wasnt expecting a ground floor broom cupboard size that you cant even walk round the bed it was so small. For £250 for one night....... you pay less in London, Paris, dubai etc. For bigger rooms.
Really taking the micky here. Unfortunate because the rest of tge experience was very good.
Within moments of our arriving and starting to unpack the car, the older barman came out (in the rain) to help carry the bags and guide us to parking.
Lovely view in the lounge for sunset with a malt whisky.
Very good breakfast (the only meal we had).
Service was dismissive and patently unfriendly.
We stayed at this hotel for a day in April 2026. The hotel is nicely located on Oban Bay with a beautiful view.
The hotel has very limited parking, but we were told that parking is available close by, free of charge. The hotel is heritage so there are a lot of staircases one must go up to get to the elevator. Also, we found the signage lacking.
The breakfast at the hotel was served to us at the table and had a lot of choices. We enjoyed it.
All in all a good stay in a heritage hotel.
Walk into town takes 5 minutes, good breakfast, enjoyed using the spa, steam and sauna.
We loved the location!! Spectacular views of the harbour. Liked that it was at the less busier end of town. Only a 15 minute walk to either the ferry or train.
The room was great - just the perfect size for two travellers. Lots of hot water for the showers! Liked the small touches with local soaps and shampoos.
Great hotel, excellent service and amazing food
Very expensive for a small room that just fits a double bed
Excellent location, nice walk into town and transport links. Views from the hotel lounge are world class. Had no issues at this hotel, it’s the 3rd hotel in Oban we have been to and would definitely stay again in the future.
It’s minor, but the breakfast was pretty slow but generally worth the wait. If I stay again I would probably forget breakfast as we can’t really do it justice what we eat in the morning.
Comfy bed
The only reason we booked this hotel was because it said it has ev chargers. We needed to charge for a long drive the next day. The ev chargers were not working. The hotel said they are not responsible for the chargers. If that's the case, they should not include ev charging in their list of amenities.
Room was excellent, an amazing window view, had a great stay, thanks
Parking was limited but found an alternative thanks
Le calme
Manque de places de parking et loin du centre ville
Good location
Inadequate onsite parking. Finding your room is far too difficult. Our room was on the second floor & we were told there was a lift. After walking thru a maze of corridors, we eventually found the lift near the back of the building but we had to negotiate several different sets of stairs to reach it so what’s the point? Front desk staff was a bit indifferent. Breakfast was marginal with fake scrambled eggs & over-cooked bacon. In all, a disappointing stay.
Nice bay views from the bar, the hotel is in a great location just outside the main strip’s hustle and bustle. Dinner was good and reasonably priced for fresh beer battered fish & chips and a drink. Nice interiors in the grill room and bar. Wooden furniture and headboard were good quality in our room, nice curtains too.
The layout is a bit like a maze with lots of steps and hallways. It took longer to find our way to the elevator than it did to just use the stairs and hallways to get to our room. Carpets are quite filthy in places. There were cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling in our bathroom and the mattress and pillow were quite lumpy, but passable for one night’s sleep. For the price we would have expected better though. Breakfast has to be booked and was pretty bland, not really worth it. The coffee was weak and tasteless.
Beautiful location. Good food. Very helpful staff.
A long walk to our room. Fortunately we are fit!
Vriendelijk personeel, lekker eten en ontbijt. Mooie locatie.
