It was packed full of coach parties. Americans. Noisy Americans.

There was a Tuesday fire alarm. No announcement was made that “this is just a test “ nor one to say that everything is fine.
Staff was very unconcerned that it was very disruptive to me. They just said there are postings that every Tuesday they test their fire alarm.
I gathered up a few things and headed to the stairs. I then called the hotel to find out it was only a test.
It was terrible.

Breakfast outstanding and Grill Room restaurant food exceptional.
Room needed a wee lick of paint as it was a little tired looking.
Also window in room very drafty and could do with seal being replaced.

Breakfast very good
The bed was terrible very uncomfortable. Lumpy pillows very lumpy duvet making it ineffective and uncomfortable. The mattress with the mattress topper was bulging in the middle leading to slopes to the edge of the bed and danger of falling out of bed. This lead to very poor sleep and discomfort.

The room was not cleaned properly, the hot tub was right beside where people eat so they could come right up - and there was a window right there with no curtain at all so felt very close and uncomfortable.
