Pros:

Nice decor and very clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely and very attentive. The air con was amazing and very powerful which helped with how hot it was during our stay.

Cons:

Small rooms. We had to move as the first room they put us in was not much bigger than a double bed with a sloped roof. Lifts are also tiny. Limited options for snacks. Bar only had a few flavors of crisps. Could do with a vending machine.

Perfect for a short break
Pros:

Close enough to walk into the centre of York but quite to be able to sleep at night. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Staff were friendly. Good choice for breakfast

Cons:

Awkward to get into bathroom, door opened straight onto the sink yet there was a large unused space behind to the point of a 2nd shower could have been put in, that’s how much space there was!!! (Room 11)

Nice, clean comfortable room, would definitely book again.
Pros:

Great location a few minutes walk from the train station and centre. Nice clean, comfortable room very nicely decorated.

Cons:

A fair bit of road noise in the morning, but my own fault for having the window open! Shower wasn’t great, intermittently warm then cool. But very minor points.

York was such a beautiful place to visit. We will be back and would definitely book here again.

Pros:

The hotel serves a fairly good breakfast, and the staff are extremely friendly and always willing to help. The air conditioning in our original room wasn’t working, and the room was far too small for the three of us. They moved us to a slightly larger room with working air conditioning, for which we were incredibly grateful.

Cons:

There wasn’t anything we particularly disliked. The hotel was slightly farther from the train station than we had expected, but it wasn’t a problem at all.

Slept well, bed and PILLOWS exceptionally comfortable, great shower, lovely bar open late (thank you!) and good breakfast.

Cons:

Was a little expensive - possibly because there was a lot on in York that weekend....
