The hotel is perfect for a visit to york. About a 10 minute walk to the city center. A lovely clean and comfortable hotel.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this hotel.
The hotel was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food.
The staff were very friendly and kept everything cleared at breakfast time, no dirty plates etc on empty tables.
Just a short walk to the train station,10 mins.
And 5 mins to York wall Mickelgate.

Our room was 331 which wasn't clearly signposted and although a lift still a set of stairs with a case ...no offer of help from staff

The lift! Very small and didn’t feel great to be in.
Buena ubicación aunque no es tan cercano a la estación y es difícil de encontrar. El desayuno es correcto pero te sientes como observado. Los empleados son corteses pero en ocasiones no lo son. El baño es muy amplio
No es tan cerca de la estación como dicen; desayuno puede mejorar y la habitación tenía como un declive (que incluía la cama) y que la hacía muy incómoda, realmente te ibas de lado en la cama
In a good place just right for us when we are in York

The location was good, the room was clean and the staff were helpful.
The only negative point was that there was no fridge in the room.
Location ok. Breakfast fine for the money. Very quiet at night in the hotel.
Beds too soft. New mattress would be better than toppers.
The location of the hotel was close to the train station and city centre. The bed in our room was the most comfortable bed ever. The breakfast was 1st class. Lot of choice and hot selection was good quality. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Top marks for the staff in the breakfast room. Tidying tables and clearing dishes away continuously. The place was spotless.

Location spot on, 5 mins walk from railway station and 10 mins to centre of York. We went to the barbican which was about 20 mins easy level walk.
Room a little small but perfectly acceptable, nice bedding, comfy bed, large screen TV, good shower, small desk and hanging space. Tea and coffee making equipment. Effective black out curtains.
No food options in the evening, no bar snacks or light meals. The breakfast was very good though, and the dining room was really nice.
