We went on a spa package with afternoon tea. The hotel looked really nice and clean, all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the day. We had a massage that was lovely, both me and my husband had a fantastic back and shoulders massage would definitely recommend. When we went through for afternoon tea we were met by Laura who was funny, polite and friendly. Laura asked which table we would prefer then when seated laughed and joked with us wich we found to be brilliant, Thank Laura 😊. We had previously met the chef at reception earlier in the day. Chef Claire remembered us and brought out our tea, Claire is extremely friendly and very funny but also makes lovely tasty food. Thank you Claire 😊, both Laura and Claire definitely made our day. The whole vist to sketchley grange was definitely a day to remember and we will be back. Thank you to all staff that made our wedding anniversary a great day x

Lovely spa break, facilities brilliant, food excellent, staff very friendly especially Amy and Danny in the dining room and Mia on reception. Will definitely stay again.

We visited today for a spa day following a previous visit in May, which we had thoroughly enjoyed. Once again, we had a lovely, relaxing day. We made use of the gym and pool facilities before enjoying afternoon tea, followed by a massage.

An area that could do with some attention is the changing rooms, which are starting to look a little tired and would benefit from some maintenance.

One thing that really stood out was that both reception and the restaurant seemed to be very short staffed. Despite this, Luigi in the restaurant was absolutely fantastic. He was waiting on numerous tables but remained cheerful, friendly and helpful. He is a real asset to the team, although it did feel as though he could have done with some additional support.

My massage with Teresa was excellent. She was professional and made the experience incredibly relaxing.

I would highly recommend the spa day here and hope to return in the future.

We was lucky enough to have the dine wine and stay package the entire break was perfect start to finish we have already re booked for August we was looked after by Amy in the restaurant who had amazing product knowledge and is a great asset to the catering team

We booked the Grove Suite for my daughter and son-in-law’s wedding, expecting a professional and well-organised service for such an important occasion. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.

There were numerous issues throughout the day, including poor communication, a lack of organisation and several service failures. On arrival, reception appeared unaware of the wedding booking, causing unnecessary anxiety. The Grove Suite was not presented to the expected standard, with dirty chair covers, incorrect table settings and no seating plan available. We also struggled to locate essential items such as the table runners because staff could not find them.

The pergola was dirty when we were given access, with footprints on the floor and cushions piled inside. We had to repeatedly ask for basic requests to be completed, including asking three times for a knife to be placed on a table.

The catering was also disappointing. The buffet food was cold, our Indian sweets were not served until we requested them, and evening food was removed rather than being left available for guests.

There were also issues with guest accommodation, including a room with no water and another affected by loud plumbing noise. The lifts had an unpleasant smell throughout our stay.

The morning after the wedding, a member of staff was rude to both me and my young daughter over the breakfast toaster. Despite reporting this at the time, it left us feeling upset. The married couple didn’t even get breakfast they state was sent to wrong room.

Following the wedding, I raised a formal complaint. Although I received an initial response, many of my concerns were dismissed without properly addressing the individual issues. I have since sent two further emails, both of which have been ignored. I am now left with no option but to pursue the matter formally.

While my daughter and son-in-law made the best of their special day, they should never have had to deal with these avoidable issues. For the amount paid and the importance of a wedding day, we expected a far higher standard of service and customer care. I have logged complaint and not been dealt with been ignored I won’t recommend again.

The room was amazing

It was very clean, comfortable and spacious in a lovely easy to find location.

large room and comfy bed. Good breakfast. The spa facilities were exellant.

Have returned many times lovely modern clean friendly staff overall always a lovely experience

Friendly staff, room was clean, well equipped and comfortable.
Food and drinks were fairly priced and all food we had was delicious.
The Roman spa area was clean and we enjoyed using the facilities during our stay.
