Excellent, so came back again.
Pros:

Best hotel shower I have used in 50 years
Free abundant parking
View of the Clyde and passing ships
Great gardens and walkways

Cons:

Voice in lift should have a Scottish accent!
Prefer to get breakfast everyday up to 10.30, and pick whatever table we want.
Signage locating hotel poor coming from Glasgow.

hotel well positioned for a one night stay before driving to north parts of Scotland on west side
Pros:

The staff has been very cooperative and professional. The rooms are spacious and comfy. the breakfast is very rich and beyond expectations.

Cons:

Due to the size of the hotel , also the parking lot in front is gigantic, and there is strong possibility to have quite a walk from parking to reception. there are a few spots for disabled , but we are not officially disabled, only slow pace and far away parking spot when it rains !!!. When we checked out we parked right in fornt of reception for the time needed to load the car.

Was asked not to eat breakfast in the breakfast room but out in another room. Meaning you are in and out all the time.
We complained and the lovely lady on that day found us a table

Disappointment after high expectations.
Pros:

Room was large and overlooking the river Clyde. Six windows could be opened a few inches, which mitigated the lack of aircon. Rooms with walk-in showers available but need to be booked in advance. Directly attached to Golden Jubilee Hospital, so extremely convenient for hospital appointments or visits.

Cons:

Warm room, noisy aircon, no termostat. Weird breakfast: directed by grim-faced matron to sit at large communal tables, like Soviet era East European hotel. Poor food quality: no fresh fruit or yogurt - only natural produce were hazelnuts & pumpkin seeds. Two types of pre-wrapped cheeses, only bread was highly processed sliced white or brown, scrambled eggs fluffy & tasteless, though mushrooms were well prepared. (Not a meat eater, so can't comment on bacon, sausage and black pudding.)
