Great hotel and staff, but it needs AC.
Pros:

Martin’s Klooster is a beautiful building with a lovely courtyard our grandchildren enjoyed. We rented four rooms for our family while attending a wedding. Unfortunately, a severe heat wave hit Europe and Leuven during our stay. This hotel lacks adequate air conditioning, and even the staff in the lobby were suffering and sweating because there was no AC there. Our experience was affected, as was that of many other guests. The hotel has faced criticism in previous years for this issue. It’s time for the owners to invest in a reliable AC system to ensure a comfortable stay for guests and staff. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Some maintenance is needed in the bathrooms, as some shower doors show signs of aging and are unsafe. Aside from that, the management and staff's service was excellent and responsive. I would stay here again if the AC problem is addressed. Global warming is a persistent challenge.

Cons:

The lack of an adequate Air Condtinioning system. It is a resource investment the owners must make because staff did their best to help with fans in rooms and moving guests around. As other previous reviews showed, it's not a new problem. They need to buy the proper equipment.

Second time there. First time was good, second time disappointing.
Pros:

location is great and building is beautiful. Breakfast is good.

Cons:

Our room smelled badly. They gave us another room but that was much smaller and a lower category. The price was very high for what we got

Gutes Frühstück. Zentrale Lage.

Cons:

Im Moment durch zahlreiche Baustellen schwer mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Parkplatz mit 30 Euro zu teuer. Bar leider bei unserm Aufenthalt nicht geöffnet

Pros:

k had een heel aangenaam verblijf in Martin’s Hotel Leuven. De locatie is ideaal: op wandelafstand van het centrum, maar toch rustig gelegen. Het ontbijt is basic, maar ruimschoots voldoende en alles was netjes verzorgd. Een fijne plek om te overnachten in Leuven. Grote ruime kamer met een grote badkamer met een bubbelbad ( heerlijk !)

Cons:

Wel een aandachtspunt: ondanks dat we parking en ontbijt voor twee dagen vooraf hadden betaald, werden we elke ochtend niet teruggevonden in het systeem en moest dit opnieuw nagevraagd worden. Dat was jammer en zorgde voor wat onnodige verwarring.
Los daarvan een comfortabel verblijf.

Enigszins teleurstellend, zeker in vergelijking met twee jaar geleden toen we er ook verbleven.
Pros:

Ontbijt was voortreffelijk, locatie was perfect en badkamer was ruim & schoon.

Cons:

Er zaten 2 zilvervisjesinsecten in bed, BAH. In plaats van twee aparte eenpersoonsbedden kregen we één groot tweepersoonsbed, JAMMER.

Reception staff and restaurant staff were very accommodating. Rooms were beautifully decorated, very clean, and had airco and good curtains to keep out the light. Also wonderful quiet location.

Cons:

The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the waiting staff were very professional. But I didn't feel that the meal was good value for money. In many respects it's a boutique hotel, so I expected the cuisine to reflect that. Instead it could have been any old hotel chain menu, except the prices were much higher.
