Extremely good value. The 3 bed room meant we were all able to share 1 room which really reduced the cost. It also came with free breakfast which again was amazing value. Free parking too.
The amount of chemical air freshener they used in the room was unbelievable, we couldn’t breathe when we walked in and had to open all of the windows which really cooled the room down. When I got back home all of my clothes and bag stunk of the air freshener too so I had to wash everything. The bathroom extractor fan was also broke so there was a bit of damp around the room.
The location for access to Chester Zoo was excellent
The rooms were very noisy. I had to get earplugs because the sound of people going upstairs was making the light fixtures shake and the rattling was incredibly loud.
There was also a lot of loud drilling outside the room early in the morning on Friday that woke me up
Breakfast was great and plenty of it, the bed was comfortable and clean.
The kettle had vents at top near handles and burnt my wife.
The Stafford fantastic, particularly Lindsay. The management were very friendly and open that they were in the middle of some renovations and tidying things up. Great location five minutes from Chester just over 10 minutes to Cheshire Oaks retail Park. Bar area spacious plenty of seats, we stayed in room 66 as a three and it was very spacious large bathroom. The decor is dated with regards to the property I would say 90s decor but as I say they are in the middle of renovations and I'm sure some change of the artwork, maybe leaning into Chester and photographs of the beautiful places there would make it seem more modern, the pool was a great facility and for the price we paid I don't think anyone could complain. There was a small sauna and the changer room there was a gym, there was a relaxation room.
Any concerns we had were addressed immediately by the staff and management. I think there was a staffing issue on the day that we arrived so there was a little bit of a wait at the bar and it looked like they had stuff in training so a couple of delays. We did order food from the bar the nachos were great however I think the pizza was not for me, I think mozzarella and the pizza would be better. The cheese was a very strong flavour and it was a little overdone. That being said the size of the pizza was good and the chips were fantastic. The grounds also were beautiful, sorry I forgot about that.
The team were exceptional especially the waiter at dinner and breakfast service a credit to the hotel he was attentive and polite without been in your grace all the team were polite and helpful

Hotel is pleasant looking, parking easy, great location, staff very friendly. Their facilities of gym sauna pool all great but needs updating a bit.
The bedroom extremely outdated, beds comfy and very clean though. supposed to have garden view, we faced road. The evening meal the manager sorted which was nice of him. Breakfast more pleasant.
I love how the staffs are friendly and the leisure activities there were so nice to use. The room was spacious and nice.
It would be better if there was a lift inside so we don’t need to carry our luggages up to the 3rd floor.

Plenty of parking
Clean room, comfy bed and sparkling bathroom with a large walk in shower.
Only one bedside lamp and a forlorn feeling in the bedroom we had.
No frills the public rooms definitely need refreshing.
Breakfast disappointing. Usual offerings but again no frills.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We brought our dog Barney, who was made to feel welcome. The room was perfect and there was an area to eat if you had a dog with you.
Nothing. We liked the stay so much we are already planning a trip again.

The furniture in the room was tired and old, the bathroom was old and in places a little dirty and i has no spoon to make a hot drink, i had a kettle and tea and coffee but no spoon???
