Brilliant location and stunning grounds
Pros:

room size very good although we just had a standard double, so absolutely pleased with it. Beds very comfortable. Staffs all extremely friend and professional and nothing to much to ask for. Set in a lovely pictures grounds that we wish to return and explore.

Cons:

My only fault was finding down stair toilets from the resturant were a little far to find

Outstanding location to stay in comfort.
Pros:

This is in my personal view one of the best hotels in all of Yorkshire, clean, tidy with all the facilities that you would expect from the best hotel. I can find no fault with the place it is pure paradise for a place to stay.

Cons:

I found nothing that did not meet the need to record, this place has in my view again no negative problems which is a credit to its wonderful staff and well kept facilities that guests get to enjoy.

Pay extra for a bedroom with a sauna or a steam room - excellent
Pros:

Lost a bag with my wedding shoes and expensive sunglasses in the bar. The bag was handed in and the reception staff kept it safe for me until a relative collected it

Cons:

Had to ask for sourdough bread.
There are no lifts in the hotel

Pros:

The Suite was fabulous and had everything i needed. It was much bigger than i expected. I loved being able to relax and have a sauna and steam.
I dined in the restaurant and the food and wine was excellent.

Cons:

A mini fridge/bar in the suite. I was quite surprised that there wasn't one

Perfect everything we needed - expectations were exceeded
Pros:

Location was fantastic for Doncaster racing. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were huge. Breakfast was great. Loved the hotel it was very unique set in lovely grounds. Plenty of parking.

Good hotel facilities, shame there isn’t a leisure side to the hotel.

Cons:

The fire alarm going off and no one acknowledging that it would have woken us all up. It was going for sometime. The manager in the Restaurant was quite negative. Was asked what time we wanted breakfast. We said we were easy, they offered a sit down at 10:00, and the manager informed us the kitchen closes at 10 and we couldn’t have the full breakfast that we had purchased with our stay.

The only positive aspect of our stay was the hotel’s location and the nice walking paths around the area. Unfortunately, this was not enough to make up for the overall negative experience.

Cons:

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The staff — especially at reception — were consistently rude and dismissive. They appeared overwhelmed due to a wedding taking place, but that is no excuse for shouting at guests or behaving in such an unprofessional manner. The same unacceptable attitude continued during check‑out, with older reception staff showing no manners or basic courtesy.

Despite paying for one of the hotel’s premium Spa Room Suites, the room quality was far below expectations. The water drainage was terrible, with water getting stuck and not flowing through properly. The room had an unpleasant smell, and overall felt poorly maintained and unhygienic.
