Our overnight stay is fine, kids enjoyed and most especially I like their food. Not until when we checked out.
We stayed from 13-14 and paid everything upfront, the room, the food during dinner and additional charges for buffet during breakfast. We decided to do early check out cos we have a lot of things most especially for enrollment of my kid. Front office confirmed that we are all clear with the charges and will just proceed to return the key cards. So we did. That was 11:30 and was informed to wait 5 minutes to clear up the room.
After 5 minutes, the one stationed on their FO caught my attention so I approached her thinking we are good to go. Then she informed me about a smoking charge of 5,000 as per policy which is IMPOSSIBLE to do inside cos we have kids staying with us using the amenities a 7 year old and 2 year old. My brother who is a smoker, goes out every time when he wanted to go smoking on their designated smoking area. And us, non-smokers, informed him that if he wanted to go back from smoking, he would and should change his clothes and put his smoking stuff inside the bathroom cos me myself doesn't like the smell. So he did. I questioned the charge that they are trying to impose cos there's no evidence at all plus it is only a smell that is left due to his clothes that is left inside the bathroom. And us who are non-smokers will detect the smoke even if it's through clothes only and even 10 feet away. So the FO wanted to talk to my brother. So they did with the manager in housekeeping and I don't know who the other is. Then they asked my brother to pay at least 3,000 at least. So I told my brother not to pay cos HE DID NOT smoke inside. Then they told him again to at least 2,500 or any amount he can pay. My poor and naive brother decided to give his last money of 1,000 which I got frustrated cos I am the one paying everything and I invited them so that the kids can enjoy then he'll give off a money that HE SHOULDN'T. So he didn't give any amount and I took the position to speak cos they are holding us off for over an hour.
We waited until 12:45 and I personally asked for the manager in charge which I wanted to process a dispute. No one faced me until 1:05. Which is NOT OKAY for a hotel management. That was an urgent matter that they should address which they didn't. The logic there is, if he is smoking inside, it should trigger the alarm cos it has a smoking detector UNLESS IF IT'S NOT EVEN WORKING! And why would they even negotiate the amount if it's a "per policy" UNLESS IF THEY ONLY WANTED TO LEECH OUT MONEY TO THEIR GUESTS WHO ARE UNFORTUNATELY A SMOKER?! They have CCTVS too to review that my brother keeps on going out the hotel JUST TO SMOKE even in the middle of the night, UNLESS IF IT'S NOT ALSO WORKING! They hold us off from 11:30 to 1:05 and couldn't even address the dispute and no MANAGER IN DUTY EVEN FACE US. And that made our appointments delayed! They keep on insisting that they can't let us off if we can't pay cos they need to rehab the room for 2-3 days cos of the smell that was left on the bathroom because my brother left his clothes inside without turning on the exhaust. WHY? ARE THEY NOT DEEP CLEANING THE ROOM PROPERLY? ARE THEY NOT USING MACHINES TO DISINFECT THE ROOM EVERYTIME THE GUESTS LEAVE? ARE THEY ONLY CHANGING THE SHEETS AND DO A LITTLE SWEEPS INSIDE?
I AM PERSONALLY DISGUSTED HOW THEIR MANAGEMENT WORKS. THEY SHOULD BE MORE SPECIFIC THAT NO SMOKERS ALLOWED TO CHECK IN! Imagine those smoker's who also paid without even smoking inside the room.
P.S: WE LEFT WITHOUT PAYING ANY AMOUNT COS IT'S NOT EVEN JUSTIFIABLE. PLUS WE ARE ALL SETTLED WITH OUR BILLS IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Excellent location staff very friendly and helpful
Quality of the rooms for the price pretty ordinary
Things were as described . there were decent selection of food at the buffet . All in all it was a nice stay . wasn't disappointed .
Good location, very near for everything. SM City etc
We stayed at Zuri Hotel Iloilo for 12 days, and while the location is convenient, several ongoing issues made the overall experience less comfortable than expected.
The room is spacious and includes a balcony, which is nice to use in the evening when it’s cooler. The hotel is also about a 5-minute walk to SM City Iloilo, which is a major plus.
Staff are generally polite, and housekeeping is helpful when approached in person. Special mention to JB and Sheryl they were attentive and consistently helpful during our stay. However, requests made through the phone often require multiple follow-ups.
Arrival and front desk service felt minimal. While there is a bellman available, assistance is not proactively offered you typically have to initiate or hand over your luggage before help is provided.
The breakfast buffet is average and becomes unorganized during busy periods. Guests are asked for their name and then sent inside without guidance, leaving you to find your own table. At times, there were no available seats, and guests were left standing without assistance. Staff appeared overwhelmed, and service felt disengaged during peak hours.
Noise is a major concern in this hotel. There are frequent events and gatherings, and sound carries easily through the hallways and into the rooms. We often heard noise from neighboring rooms, as well as kids running and playing in the hallways, even in the evenings.
One night was particularly disruptive. Starting around 9:30 PM, there was continuous loud noise from a nearby room furniture being moved, along with loud talking, shouting, and laughing. The vibrations could even be felt from the headboard.
The noise continued past midnight and into 1:00–2:30 AM. We contacted the front desk, and although they said they would address it, the noise did not stop. Even around 5:30–6:00 AM, it was still ongoing, which made it very difficult to rest.
We were informed that “quiet time” starts at 11 PM, but this does not appear to be consistently enforced.
Another factor that adds to the noise is the room doors. They tend to close loudly and cannot be shut quietly, so it often sounds like doors are slamming, especially early in the morning or late at night.
That said, there were also a few days when the hotel was noticeably quieter, and those were the more comfortable days. It really depends on whether there are events or large groups staying at the same time.
Another issue is the window-type air conditioning unit, which is quite loud especially at night and can disrupt sleep over multiple days.
To be clear, we understand that hotels host events and gatherings. We are not against that. However, there should still be proper management and noise control to ensure other guests are not affected. During our stay, this was not consistently handled. We have stayed at other hotels that also host frequent events but still maintain a quiet and organized environment without noise carrying into rooms or hallways.
Before booking, we read a mix of positive and negative reviews and chose to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt.
However, many of the concerns mentioned by other guests particularly regarding noise, service flow, and overall organization appear to still be ongoing.
For the overall cost of the stay, the experience did not feel like good value.
Overall, this hotel may be acceptable for a short 2–3 day stay, but for longer stays, comfort becomes inconsistent. We would likely consider other options in the future.
Heads up: Based on repeated feedback from other guests over time, these concerns do not appear to be isolated.
Very clean. Like the food. Helpful staff. Convenient to shopping center.

We had a great experience! The hotel staff was realy nice and helpful! The room was good as well, the location is great! Its next to the sm mall! Thank you zuri hotel for this great experience!
Convenient Location, Big Rooms, Amazing Breakfast, Nice Rooftop Facility and properly-trained staff
Room 301 has low toilet flush pressure.
It was my third time to stay at Zuri Hotel and per usual, I had another delightful experience! I'd like to acknowledge Shanie for being creative in handling my concern and found a way for me to stay in my requested date.
Variety of food selection for breakfast. Housekeeping kept our room clean. Close to SM and shopping for items you may have forgotten.
Please ban guests from wearing pajamas and sleepwear in the dining room especially during breakfast. Some guests looked like they just woke up, hair uncombed, flip flops. At least one guest ate breakfast with one leg raised. These behaviors tend to cheapen the place.
The seats in the lobby are not comfortable and have seen better days. Some seats have stains. The lobby is the guest’s first impression.
Of the three hotels we stayed in during our holiday in Philippines in February 2026, this was by far the best. The service was professional, the room nice and the breakfast wide ranging and edible.
Iloilo City is really nice, mixing vintage colonial architecture with modern architecture. The hotel was in a good location off the main thoroughfare into the city centre . I would recommend this hotel.
buffet breakfast
time of check in ..it should be 2pm.
The Place is at the center of the city near at a shopping mall. The place is clean and the breakfast is spectacular. Accessible to all forms of transportation
The food and the location was great!
Near to noisy restobars.
