The toilet was dirty and the room supplies - toilet rolls and water were not enough.
Swimming pool, pines bar and spa treatments
I didn’t like the bug party of nigiri that pushed in front of us twice at reception. We didn’t like burnt chips or ravioli not cooked properly
Has a superb afternoon at Forest Pines .
Special shout at to the bar lady Mandy who was lovely and went above and beyond .
It is a shame when a relatively decent stay in a place is marred by the attitude of a small number of staff members but on this occasion it was. The main barman (I could name) was probably the most non customer facing person to have been in that role. He was aggressive in his tone, unwelcoming, and made interactions feel bothersome. The breakfast waitress was similar and shared his skill set.
All other staff were very pleasant, standards were fair in everything else, leisure area was nice. Towels didn’t smell very good would be my only comment.
Will I stay again? No.
Dinner in the evening was great, staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Bed was very comfortable.
I had to change the first room due to black mould in the shower and dirty toilet. Although the alternative was cleaner, there were still cobwebs and marks (looked like coffee) on the bathroom door and frame. The carpet was frayed and well worn.
Staff = all excellent
Rooms = ok but some rooms are VERY far from reception or spa. Some rooms no AC. Not all rooms had usb connectors or all lights working. But comfy bed. Can say this as we changed rooms on arrival
Breakfast = spot on
Dinner = overpriced and small portions. Our 70 quid allowance in our deal could not cover the food bill. £12.50 for 3 scallops and £35 for lamb shank and veg.
Golf = Excellent (did not play this time but have played there before
Bar = Good range of drinks
Treatments in Spa = wife loved them
Spa = pool good temp as was jacuzzi. Small sauna.
Overall we had a great stay.
Poor service in the lounge bar. Forgotten drinks, mismatched orders.
Room has no Air Conditioning despite charging 181 for one night stay.
Very very poor quality amenities given the price point.
Would not recommend staying here during summer. Unbearable to sleep in that heat.
Everything was great from the hotel itself to the surroundings and staff. My husband and son had a round of golf while my daughter in law and i had a spa day. Would definately go back.
There was nothing to not like.
Food was fantastic and Gracie our waitress was superb.
Gracie was superb. 5* services
Evie Did a great shoulder, neck and head massage would recommend.
We live close by the Forest Pines and pop in for a morning coffee now and again with our well trained black dog. The lounge area is a good size and is a very pleasant place to relax. We have come across good staff and some a bit miserable. However today the place was busy and only one person was running the whole show. She was fabulous; big smile, cheerful, efficient and keeping everyone happy. Who was this wonderwoman -- ANNA. She deserves a commendation from the management team.
The gents enjoyed their two rounds of golf, while the ladies relaxed and enjoyed treatments in the spa. A lovely setting for a one night staycation.
The hotel and the facilities were good however the bed and the bedding were not good at all. The quilt was very heavy and bumpy and not smooth, the filling seemed all over the place. The pillows were the same, all lumpy and uneven. Spoilt our rest time. Been to other Q hotels which were fine but because of the lack of comfort in the bedroom we would not return to this one. The wait in the restaurant for our evenings meal was extremely long and we had to chase up a couple of our courses. The staff would sit you but then seem to forget about you.
Had a lovely meal in main restaurant on Monday 27th July food and service were top notch and reasonable prices. Experience was enhanced by our waitress Emily who was attentive and efficient through out and really friendly. Had a similar experience the previous week when our waitress was Tanya and was a reason for our return. Hopefully will be back soon.
Had the pleasure of being looked after by Anna in the bar. She was super friendly and a real credit to the hotel! Well done Anna.
