It was an absolutely ridiculous situation. Jack hammers were banging away right outside my room door starting at six in the morning. It was the worst environment I’ve ever experienced in my life. Since I don’t speak Vietnamese and was only staying for a few hours, I just lay in bed without even asking the workers to stop, but it was just too much. I never want to stay at this hotel again. It was the worst nightmere in my life.
With that said, I would say the front desk staffs were very friendly.
I suspect there was a miscommunication among the employees. That’s why I’m not giving it the worst possible rating. However, I really question the decision to use a jack hammers to tear up the floor and near by room's floor starting at 6 a.m. I paid for a good night’s sleep, but being subjected to the vibrations and noise of a jackhammer starting at 6 a.m. was simply too much. It simply was a rediculous moment.
Yes, I really wanted to rate this hotel as the lowest score. But since everybody at the front desk was very nice, I would rate this hotel as 2-3 out of 5. Maybe when they are not in the middle of renovation, they are much nicer.
The location is perfect—right in the center of the Old Quarter, making it incredibly easy to walk everywhere. It is highly affordable and offers excellent value for money. A huge shout-out to Kimchi at the reception, who is incredibly hospitable, warm, and helpful. She truly made the stay feel special!

First, the WiFi in the room has been a bit spotty and cuts out from time to time. If there is a quick fix or a different network I should connect to, please let me know.
Also, I just wanted to gently mention that the vibe from a few of the team members in the common areas has felt a little distant, making me feel a bit more like an outsider than a guest. I'm sure it's just a busy time for everyone, but I wanted to share that feedback so the team can keep keeping things warm and welcoming!
Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We made a confirmed reservation ahead of time, but when we arrived, the hotel had already given our room away to other guests. Imagine traveling for hours only to be told your booking means nothing. Completely unacceptable.
The staff handled the situation terribly — no real apology, no solution, and no concern for the stress and financial loss they caused us. We were left scrambling to find another hotel at the last minute, paying higher prices because of their mistake. They wasted our time, ruined part of our trip, and caused unnecessary frustration after a long journey.
