The location for me is ideal and will stay again it’s just maybe we could look a few miles down the road for a hotel wit
Pros:

It’s close to where I wanted to be

Cons:

Having stayed in the hotel a few times now the furniture in the rooms are becoming really worn out it really could do with a little updating

Pros:

Almost everything,we stay there a few times a year when visoting family.

Cons:

Our room was the same as when they opened 40 odd years ago, very old fashioned, that said,it is difficult to upgrade a property of this size all at once and most of the rooms and communal areas have been updated regularly.

The hotel is ok. Depends on your reasons for travel.
Pros:

It was a nice hotel overall, it had everything I needed (A place to sleep and get ready for work).
This hotel would probably be nice if you are staying with friends or for leisure. I was staying alone for work in the area.

Cons:

The bed was very worn out. I have bruises on my back from the springs. The walls are so thin, all I could hear was my neighbours talking all night. I wouldn't want to ask them to be quiet as they are just enjoying themselves.
The staff were gathered outside my room one morning having a chat and laughing. I had to come out and say it was a little too loud which was really hard for me. They disappeared and returned five minutes later doing it again.
A staff member randomly knocked on my door and then when I answered just said I was fine and could go away with no explanation. There is the constant slamming of doors which I think is people just letting them close behind them. But when the cleaning staff are going in and out of rooms to service them. The slamming becomes a lot. This is not a safe space for someone with anxiety or social anxiety. They didn't seem to know if my room was occupied or not which is why someone was knocking but surely there is a database that can tell you this instead of disturbing the person.

There is also nothing in the area. If you want food that isn't hotel food it's a long walk, which is fine for some. I was here for work so I didn't want to eat at the hotel every night. The signal is really bad and so is the WiFi so I couldn't get much done from there.

Price for room seems a bit high considering issues with cleanliness, but the restaurants food and drink is reasonably pr
Pros:

Size of the room was good, the bed was comfortable. I would also like to mention that the room has a radiator that you can switch on/off and adjust the temperature which is great. The highlight was definitely the restaurant as we were able to eat when we arrived late afternoon and breakfast was delicious as well. Price of food and drink very reasonable. Staff was also lovely.

Cons:

The corridor smelled heavily of bleach, however the bathrooms level of cleanliness was not the best. The shower head had black stuff on which I had to scrub off before using it as it was clogging it up. The wall in the shower looked like it had some palm sized red stain on it and something that looked like brown mould or a bugger by the handle inside the shower. Neither of which I was willing to investigate any further. The walls in the room also had some marks/stains on. TV was smaller then what I would consider a norm at this price range and signal for most programs was poor. Also important to note, the bathroom door does not open fully due to a radiator behind the door. I am taking the price into consideration, and at +£150 per night, my expectation is higher then if it was priced under £100 per night.
