Nothing
fran and antonio 10/10 nice guys
My wife and I chose this hotel for our honeymoon night, and it exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and celebrated. After learning that we had just gotten married that day, they surprised us with a room upgrade along with champagne and snacks waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful touch and made our first night as newlyweds even more special.
The hotel was beautiful, comfortable, and the service was exceptional throughout our stay. I would also like to recognize Frank from valet parking. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. His positive attitude and excellent customer service made a great first impression and added to the overall experience.
Thank you to the entire team for helping create such wonderful memories for us. We will always remember our stay and look forward to returning in the future.
We had an amazing stay at this hotel during our honeymoon! We had just gotten married a few hours before arriving, and when the staff found out, they went above and beyond to make our celebration even more special. They graciously upgraded our room and gifted us with champagne and snacks, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture.
Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy for us. A special thank you to Frank from valet parking, who was outstanding throughout our stay. He was friendly, professional, and always greeted us with a smile, making us feel truly welcomed from the moment we arrived.
The exceptional service and attention to detail made our first night as a married couple unforgettable. We are so grateful for the kindness and hospitality we received and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special and memorable stay.
I arrived in town to Pompano Beach for a work trip. The valet were welcoming and helpful however I wasn’t expecting to pay for valet and there was no other option for parking overnight. The breakfast food was okay. The floors were super slippery no matter the time of day and it wasn’t from water. The restaurant was very expensive. We had a room credit included with our stay that included $20 which we were able to use to for dessert. The pool was nice but it closes at 8pm! Why have a beautiful clean lighted up pool just to close it at 8pm? Had I noticed it closed that early I would have chosen to stay elsewhere. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the room was spacious and the view was nice from the balcony. The elevators were an issue for us several times and we had to consider the possibility of getting snagged waiting for the elevator to make it to our work trip obligations on time.
The location of this hotel is amazing right on the beach with a restaurant! Not to mention the super fast and helpful valet service! Frank & Antonio were super friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great stay!
La atención al cliente desde que entras, todos los años me hospedo en este hotel y nunca e tenido la más mínima queja.
Nada ya que todo es maravilloso
Hotel is getting a little long in the tooth as it is in need of some upgrades. Rooms are getting rundown. Our couch had major issues. Our TV set was black on one side of the screen. Kitchen was fine. Bathroom lighting was poor.
The help around there were the best thing this hotel has going for it. Friendly and nice, they "made" this place. Good people.
The valet parking upset me. $36 per night, fine. But when my adult daughter went to get her car to go home at 5:30am no one was to be found. She went to the front desk who couldn't find them either. After 30 minutes they finally showed up. But her car wasn't "onsite" so they had to go retrieve it. What did they do? They left in another car to go get her car. Fine. Except it was MY CAR! (How random was that?) They did not have my permission to do this. They need to get their own transportation. My car seat had sand in it which was interesting as we only drove the car to various hockey rinks, never to the beach. This truly makes me angry.
I like the view and the ease access to the beach. The studio was very comfortable and clean.
I didn’t like that the parking is not included.
El recibimiento por el cumpleaños con tarjeta de felicitación y vino espumoso para brindar, las habitaciones son amplias y limpias, el desayuno incluido fue excelente, el personal es muy amable y servicial.
Great location, great price, friendly staff.
Only little things, they ran out of scrambled eggs for breakfast buffet but didn’t seem concerned about replacing them. Staff seemed stretched thin at dinner service was a bit slow.
The one-bedroom suite was nice with a balcony and view of the pool and beach. It was Pet-friendly and very spacious. I liked that there was a restaurant on the premises and a free breakfast in the morning. The food was good and the pool looked nice, but did not get to go in it. We walked to the beach and it was really nice. The beds were really comfortable and the room had newer carpet and paint, it also had a kitchen with a full size refrigerator.
The valet parking was the only option and very limited. Our room had a stack washer and dryer that was old and needed to be replaced. It made loud noises and the little packet of detergent costs $5.00 from their little shop. The door to the room barely locked and looked like someone tried to break in at some point. It also needs to be replaced. That was kind of scary.
Frank and Antonio were great and so polite! Very responsive and so nice! Always put a smile on our faces! They make the parking so easy!
When we were deciding which hotel to visit, it was between Pompano Beach Residence Inn and the Marriott next door. We have stayed at both a few times, but wanted to go back to the Residence Inn this time even though it was slightly more expensive than the newly-refurbished Marriott.
Check-in is 4pm and we landed at FLL around noon and found things to do by the Pompano Beach pier. Messaged the hotel through the Bonvoy app to find out if our room was ready and was told that you show up, get added to a waitlist, and as rooms become available it’s first come, first served. Would have been nice to know that in advance. We showed up around 3, and our room was FINALLY ready at 4:09pm. Latest check-in we have had anywhere in years. Not gonna lie, that was annoying. Jessie checked us in and was very pleasant and a good example of customer service. She explained the daily $20 food and beverage credit and some other perks like bicycles and museum entry. Anastasiia, Nicole and Tricia were also helpful at various times.
I do not remember noting the “destination fee” of $45 till I got the final bill. So, like Marriott’s resort fee? At least Marriott includes beach chairs (at least it did last year).
Our room was high up (which we paid for) and had a nice view. Note that if you have an 07 room (as in, ends in 07), you will hear the elevator since your room backs up to it. The suite was nice with a full-sized fridge, microwave, 2 burner cooktop, dishwasher and plates, cups, etc. Coffee maker was useful. The bathroom needed some TLC as under the sink cabinet looked all bashed in to the point of seeing the particleboard behind it. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are in the shower in large dispensers. Love the blocks window in the tub/shower; no nightlight needed here. You will occasionally hear people in rooms above or around you.
We had 2 queen beds and they were comfortable, closet with hangers and a safe (that did not work--got replaced). Desk, tv, little round table with 2 chairs. Ironing board and iron were in the bathroom closet with a small stackable and quite old washer and dryer. We washed clothes once, and the dryer took forever to dry our clothes.
The room has a wall of windows which I loved, and both sheer curtains and room darkening curtains. The balcony door took real muscle to open and close. All balconies except the oceanfront 2 bedroom suites (which are amazing!), have balconies facing south. Enjoyed the balcony and the view--until I smelled cigarette smoke--every day. The hotel staff tried to figure out where it was coming from, but short of a drone or a spy at the Marriott, not sure it’s going to be figured out.
Sunday morning we went to breakfast and it was a very nice spread and organized by two very friendly ladies. The thick cut and perfectly cooked bacon was great. There is a waffle-maker on the weekends only. Breakfast was sufficient. There is a restaurant on the property, Zoe’s, with both indoor and outdoor seating—we loved the rough-cut wood tables and stools on the patio. So unique and beautiful. There is a coffee machine in Zoe’s that could make cappuccino, and it would have been nice to have it open before 10am.
We liked the daily happy hour specials at Zoe’s. We tried some of the food and drinks too and everything was quite good. Adam, Maurizio and Liz were great. You can also be served food/drinks on the beach and by the pool or hot tub areas.
The beach was beautiful. Note that chairs are not included at this property; $15 each and umbrella is also $15. Cabanas too. There was a lot of sea grass this time of year which was raked every morning, but came back every day. Water was nice and warm. Enjoyed lounging on the beach and exfoliating my feet in the sand.
The second night, Sunday, a day with many people checking out, our room still had not been cleaned at 4pm. At that point we wanted to get ready to go out, so I just asked for some towels and exchanged them. Would have been nice to have been notified that due to the large amount of check-outs, the room may not be serviced--or would be, but very late. I was told they have till 5:30 to clean rooms—too late. On Monday our room was cleaned in the morning.
Note there is valet parking only here; no self-park, at the cost of $36 per day, plus taxes. The valets were pleasant and usually quick to get our car.
You are able to message with the hotel on the Bonvoy app, which is helpful.
Pets are allowed at this property.
There were a lot of families staying here—many with small children—although by Tuesday there seemed to be hardly anyone around. Rooms that have multiple sleeping spaces make this a good choice for families.
We enjoyed our stay for the most part. Most of the employees seem to really care to make your experience great, and will try to resolve any issues that arise for you. Hotel employees whom I may not have named specifically: thank you for all you do, and for caring about your guests.
Beachfront
Great location and customer service! Valet Frank was incredibly kind, always smiling, and had such a positive attitude that instantly made us feel welcome. You can tell he genuinely cares about the guests. His energy added so much value to the overall hotel experience.
