Awful communication and didn’t try and make it right
Pros:

The staff promised me a refund and I don’t think they ever even contacted booking to let them know about the cable outage that no one told me about

Cons:

Terrible communication

Big Bear Redefined: City meets Country
Pros:

Perched where the rugged timber meets the glassy expanse of the lake, Hotel Marina Riviera is a masterclass in atmospheric alchemy. It feels as though a chic, mid-century modern salon collided beautifully with a high-toned, rustic American West outpost. The architecture honors the soaring terrain of Big Bear, using clean, geometric lines that trace the slope of the mountains, while the interior hums with a quiet, bespoke luxury. Smooth, high-end finishes—polished walnut and rich leathers—marry flawlessly with the coarse honesty of native stone.

The crown jewel of this alpine sanctuary is its sublime wellness experience, an immaculate haven for the body and spirit. Here, the contrast therapy is poetic magic. You can purge the high-altitude chill in the deep, enveloping heat of the saunas, or melt into the bubbling, starry embrace of the outdoor hot tub. For the ultimate awakening, the shock of the pristine cold plunge cuts through fatigue like mountain air, shocking the senses into absolute, vibrant life.

Steps away, the sparkling pool acts as a gateway to the elements. For those who hear the siren call of open water, the seamless transition from resort luxury to an open swim across the vast, pristine lake is utterly liberating.

Through it all, the views are a visual symphony—the lake stretching out like hammered silver, cradled by a dark fortress of pines. The staff embodies the very spirit of the altitude: completely chill, attentive, and entirely devoid of pretension. From the crackle of the lakeside fire pits to the curated aesthetics, the vibes are flawless, offering an elevated, restorative sanctuary in the sky.

Day Pass buyers for the pool are prioritized above overnight lodgers
Pros:

Great hotel with great views, amenities, staff, and food. Unfortunately they offer Day Passes to the pool area for noisy families to overrun the place, killing any chance of a peaceful stay or return stay. Good luck with that.

We will be back!!
Pros:

Stunning hotel with dreamy amenities! We loved using the pool, cold plunge, saunas, and the park next door! It is a super short walk to the marina to rent a boat to explore the lake, and close to shopping and dining. The design and details are so nice! (Linens piglet, quince, parachute) we will be back and would love to explore their other hotels! A nice getaway close to LA for sure.

NUEVO PERO INCOMPLETO
Pros:

EL HOTEL ES NUEVO, PRECIOSO.
PERO NO TENIA ALGO TAN BASICO PERO NECESARIO EN MI CASO DE UNA CAFETERA O JARRA TERMICA PARA TOMARME UN TE CALIENTE A LA NOCHE.
VIAJE CON UNA OPERACION A FUTURO COORDINADA Y MI CUERPO PEDIA ALGO CALIENTE QUE NO TENIAN NI CON OPCION DE COMPRA.
NO HAY PISCINA CERRADA. EL JACUZZI ES BASTANTE PEQUEÑO Y AL AIRE LIBRE.
NO CUENTA CON DESAYUNO NI TIENE OPCION DE PAGARLO APARTE.

Amazing getaway
Pros:

Excellent location. All the rooms have view of the lake. There are three floors. We were on the 2nd floor with a balcony. Room was compact, very clean. Nice bed. Property is well-maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Smart TV.
The curtains are room darkening, but some sun light gets reflected from the top of the frame which could be an easy fix.
There is a restaurant on site that has happy hour. Breakfast is available just on weekends.
Few minutes walk to the village shops and restaurants.
Kettle could be provided in the room for Tea lovers. There is coffee in the lobby area.
We loved our stay and will return back soon.

Lovely but Loud
Pros:

The location is awesome. It’s right on the lake and the view is wonderful. You can walk to the Village. The atmosphere is was very warm and welcoming. The staff is awesome. The rooms are so very charming and have private balconies that overlook the lake. It was clean. The only downside is the noise level. We travel quite often and we have never stayed in a louder hotel. The hotel doesn't seem to be insulated for noise. We could hear people casually walking down the hallway, kids crying through walls, and what sounded like a non stop stampede in the room above us. We were bummed. The hotel was so great in every other way.
