Could be a 9 or 10 with a little tlc.
Pros:

The rooms are fine . Updating should be in the plans. The staff is wonderful.

Cons:

The outside lighting and the entrance lighting is abysmal. It gets really dark in the Adirondack mountains
It’s a crapshoot trying to see at this property. The parking lot and driveway to the hotel are like a bomb practice range. The pavement is awful

Friendly staff, decent location.

Cons:

Broken remote, makeup on pillow, toilet didn't flush for a while, no backup generator after lights went out ( due to storm), hair in sink from previous guest, huge black stain on towels, alot of areas in room needed dusting, no lock on bathroom doors

A wonderful and quaint hotel!
Pros:

This hotel was a pleasant surprise! Came to it with no expectations and it was wonderful! So much charm! The staff was kind and professional, the room was quite large, and the morning breakfast was delicious! The gym was an added bonus.

Cons:

Due to it being an older facility, there were some areas that had an odor, such as the entry. However, this would not keep me from staying here again.

Cute New England Hotel
Pros:

This hotel has a great new England charm. The rooms are very comfortable and more modern than we expected from the lobby. It was a very happy surprise.

Cons:

Breakfast was a little hectic in the morning, but not for lack of the staff trying. There was a baseball team that was there right before I got there.

Pros:

General manager who was covering the desk for a while was very friendly and helpful; ready and willing to provide information about yhe local area. Breakfast was plentiful and very good.

Cons:

Thought it was a little pricey. It would be nice to have a handheld shower head in the bathtub.

A nice boutique hotel in a historical building
Pros:

Although the building is very old, it is very well maintained. The room is basic but everything is clean and simply works. The breakfast area is very spacious and clean. The staff is also very cheerful and helpful. Many people hangout at the tables near the pool area.

Pros:

Clean, reasonable, good location. Beds very comfortable. Excellent man working at breakfast - very personable, made sure the customers had what they needed.

Cons:

Missed having a restaurant. Furniture getting tired. Only 3 hangers in the closet. A lot of stairs . If there was an elevator we weren’t told about it.

Exceptional Suprising Hidden Gem in Latham
Pros:

What a sleeper find! Off radar, close to the airport, Saratoga, SUNY, and the highway. (But not too close to the highway! It was quiet and lovely.) The staff were really fun and positive and brilliant. The rooms were updated and really really comfortable. Light blocking curtains worked like adream. Generous fridge, in room microwave, lovely bathroom.

Bonus! The halls are all fresh yet colonial. Go figure how they did that! It was a pleasure to walk along the halls.

Breakfast was actually for the most part as far as I can tell, made on site. The egg part of the omlet were uniform in a way that signals maybe premade. Once you start diggin around that omlet, you will find that the chees is melted nicely, the oninions (or no onions if you like!) are added on and not frozen and microwaved! They have gluten free goodies, they have a nice yogurt bar rather than tiny tubs. The atmosphere at 7 AM was respectfully cheery.

We travel all the time and stay in corporate hospitality sites 10 days out of the month. This was a pleasant suprise. WE have it on our favorites list!!

OH! and as an asthmatic, I appriciated that they had not musty or dusty smells.

Cons:

A little tricky finding the parking lot. It's behind the building!
