Superior breakfast
Pros:

Historic but fully updated building. (Except there is no elevator for upper floor)

Cons:

The lighting of the driveway makes a bit difficult to.find the main entry (which is on the rear of the building)

Used to be a very good place to stay but that was in the past
Pros:

Good location, pleasant staff

Cons:

Facility was outdated and in need of major renovation. Wee were on the second floor and there is no elevator and had to drag suitcases upstairs.

Friendly staff. Room was a good size. Comfortable beds and clean. Cute decor. Room had a mini fridge with freezer. Breakfast was tasty. Nice variety for breakfast; yogurt, fruit, nuts and granola, cereal and milk, eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, bread and muffins along with juice, coffee, tea and milk. I like that there was a pool available on the hot day we arrived.

Cons:

I did not care for the long walk to the room from the parking lot.

Cons:

The breakfast man needs training on hygiene and health standards. He touches food to line it up in the pan/serving dish. Sure, he has gloves on, but that gloved hand also touched doors and non-food items. He should have used a utensil to do what he was doing.

Great staff and breakfast
Pros:

The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great. The rooms were clean.

Cons:

The pillows were too soft and the two rooms didn't have good sound proof. I could hear snoring from the other room. It would have been nice to not have the two beds facing the same wall.

It was wonderful and cozy.
Pros:

Everything was great from the moment we checked in. My son had a tournament and it ended up being rained out and I loved that we were able to use the sister property for the pool so he could swim. He also LOVED the breakfast.. he’s a picky eater and he was very satisfied. Hotel was quiet you didn’t hear any of the guest making a noise and all the staff was exceptional.

Quiet respite
Pros:

The breakfast was great and included lots of fresh fruit, eggs, meats, potatoes and breads. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is quiet. There is a nice walking path behind the hotel.

Cons:

The toilet and shower did not drain well at all. The windows did not lock. The facility could use a refresher.
