I never got my 100.00 deposit back
Nothing. Never got into the hotel much less the room.
We arrived at the hotel late in the afternoon. There were no lights on; there were no cars in the parking lot. There was one woman standing literally in the front entrance. We were informed that the power had been off for two days and the hotel was closed. I asked why we weren't notified before we drove across the state. According to the lady at the entrance, "they were supposed to notify people." There was no telephone number for Hilton, 800Hotel, or anyone else. The following day, I received an email asking if "I" wanted to cancel my reservation. They offered to accept my cancellation without charge! There were no oceanfront properties with availability at that point, so we drove 5 1/2 hours for nothing. Our four-day beach retreat was trashed. We emptied a tank of gasoline. Lost a day traveling in Florida heat for nothing. Now I'm going to waste more time sharing this terrible service on every platform I can find, as well as send a formal complaint to Hilton. "Sorry" seems totally inadequate. No one could have predicted a weather-related outage ... but how about a phone call? The power had been out for two days by then and wasn't expected to be restored until Saturday.
I hate booking online or through a call center. I like having a person to talk to who can confirm my data, rates/dates/facilities, and who I can look for if things get screwed up. There was NO ONE to call. No telephone numbers for emergencies. Nothing! Just a lady in civilian clothes who was "sorry" but had no contact information. Even though the hotel had been closed for a second day, no provisions or arrangements had been made with another property; no call or text to at least save people the travel ... no comp for a future trip. NOTHING.
Right on the beach close to restaurants, clean ,beds were so comfy we will definitely stay there again
There's nothing we didn't like except having to go back home
We checked in on July 12 at 4:00 p took luggage to the 4th floor, went to eat , came back to firetrucks in front of the Spark, parking lot blocked no one could leave, no one had access to bathrooms, northbound A1A blocked. A electrical problem on the 2nd floor caused the power to be shut off. The Spark waited until 10:00 p to allow everyone to get their luggage out of their rooms in the dark without elevators, and instead of directing people to other Hilton property’s in the area we were told good luck!
I liked how close it was to the beach.
Umm.. the electrical room right across from our room caught fire, my husband was clearing rooms before the smoke thing even went off.. and we have not been refunded. I had to find another hotel at 10pm. No one from Hilton has reached out.
That some of the staff are the same people that I have known back from Best Western
We got stuck in the room, but maintenance came right up and fixed the door
Refrigerator didn't work properly, but a VERY nice man came, pulled it out and set temp.
HORRIBLE parking. Not enough spaces. And we were charged $10. a day. (Which I did not know in advance)
Location was great. Nice clean rooms with all the basic features needed.
Could have had a little more options for the breakfast.
Clean room, pool accessible at any time.
No waffles for breakfast.
Nothing
My key was to a room that was occupied b another family. Then I was moved to another room that was dirty and I noticed a few dead roaches.
The first time I stayed at Sparks, it was great. I had an ocean view so decided to rebook at Sparks a second time and it was not so great! The bathroom had hair from other people on the shower walls and toilet and behind the bathroom door . We went down to the pool and asked for beach towels, they gave me hand towels and said they ordered the wrong size. Also when I went to the pool the next morning, It was full of hair and popped balloons from the day before which made me think the pool wasn’t cleaned. When checking out, I asked the gentleman, hey do you have any carts so I can remove the things out of my room, after searching the entire hotel, he just said I don’t know it might be somewhere maybe in the basement which was not very helpful. I will not stay here again. The cleaning lady on our floor was more helpful but thought she would get in trouble for giving me 3 small trash bags for my room.
Pool beach view
The oceanfront location was very convenient, and the nightly rate was highly competitive for the area. The room was otherwise clean, and maintenance, technician, and housekeeping staff consistently greeted us courteously during the stay.
The room phone was inoperable, and there appeared to be mold or dark buildup on the bottom of the shower curtain liner. The most serious issue was a July 5 front-desk interaction involving my husband. He asked whether refrigerator/freezer space was available overnight for a cheesecake we were bringing home. We understand the hotel may not allow guest food in employee refrigerators; that policy was not the issue. The concern was that he reported the front-desk representative barely looked up, denied the request, and that he then heard a soft comment followed by laughter as he walked away. He felt embarrassed and mocked after asking a practical but uncomfortable question. I did not hear the exchange because I was parking the car, but when I entered the lobby shortly afterward, I saw him visibly upset and angry. We later reported the issue. Hilton opened a case, and the General Manager responded with an apology and said the matter would be addressed internally. I appreciated that response, but the incident and room issues still significantly affected the stay.
Staff and location was great
No microwave in room or coffee pot and coffee was cold in lobby had to wait till 6 am to get coffee in breakfast room and breakfast had no meat or hot foods
