Good sized room
Being charged extra for using the swimming pool. 1 Pillow case was dirty and hadn't been changed prior to us getting in. Room advertised for £69/night, however, I eventually paid £103/night
Location is great, market bosworth is a lovely village with a great Indian restaurant.
We have stayed many times as a half way point to visit family in Chorley Wood.
The fact that the tablet at reception where you have to register your car wasn't working and even though they had my car registration on the checkin documents I still received a parking ticket for £100 so be aware. Unfortunately, going forward both the Indian and the hotel will be missing customers as we won't be visiting again.
Staff were friendly and approachable
The location was wonderful though the building itself a little dated and run down in minor places.
The food on the evening buffet proved good value for money and was of good quality with plenty of allergy friendly options.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.
The Bar menu wasn't very allergy friendly for our families' needs.
The pool was on the chilly side and in need of sprucing up a little bit.
The building itself, while beautiful to look at from the outside with gorgeous grounds, the inside could use updating a little and was run down in places
The hotel, the breakfast, the location and particularly the staff were excellent.
It's not great to have to pay extra to use the facilities when a paying guest at the hotel, however if you are required to pay that extra, then make sure ALL those facilities are in working order and available to use. Also, if paying extra to use said facilities, do not charge yet another extra to use a towel, that is taking the Michael !
Location, staff all good .. price on the day was £59 which was brilliant .. so great value at that... but as on occasions ive used it and at £90 ish feel its not such value .
Rooms are tired, Bathrooms mainly tbf, room doors slamming at all times of the evening and early hours of the morning because the soft close doesn't work.. however guests could be more considerate knowing they slamming
A little run down in parts but actually a nice place to have a little break. Nice grounds and walking distance to the town centre.
Was initially given an unpleasant room. The nice lady on reception changed it to something better.
There was a trainee member of staff on reception who was very helpful I don’t get her name but she had a badge with trainee on
How far away our room was from the dinner hall😊
Location is great, spa is small but nice
Was a bit warm as no air con and could do with blackout curtains or blinds
The location
Shower needs to be higher bathroom needs up dating also all plug socket need up dating and light switch need changing due to them being yellow also tv aerial needs looking at as could only get a few channels on the tv curtains need to be a bit longer as when u shut them they don’t quite meet in the middle and let light in the room in the morning
Location was beautiful
The room was very small and stuffy no air con and windows didn’t open wide enough to let any air circulate.
The setting is lovely but the hotel is becoming a little tired although this is reflected in the price
The restaurant closed earlier than it was due to as did the bar snacks which ‘came from the restaurant kitchen ‘. The leisure club area was in need of a good makeover and there is a horrendous flight of stairs leading to the pool area. There are no means of locking your stuff up
In the lockers so don’t take valuables in. The room was a bit small as was the bed and the bathroom door popped open when you used the toilet!
The jacuzzi.
The staff were rude and our bed was just 2 singles pushed together. The beds kept separating during the night. Told reception who said to speak to housekeeping who couldn't do anything about it. We were told the wrong checkout time by a staff member so had to rush when leaving. The breakfast wasn't very nice.
Room was good but v hot! and breakfast was adequate but could have had more variety / kids options. Likely playing snooker!
A wedding was on and we were kept awake by people talking and shouting very loudly until very late in the garden directly below our window. a big reason to go was the swimming pool, we timed our visit according to the closing time on the website but when we got there we were told they shut the facilities 30 mins earlier, so we only had 20 mins to have a swim- still had to pay full price and they charged for towels! Pool was also a bit grubby. Unfortunately this was the only time we could visit the pool as we had to leave early next day :-( Room was also v hot, but weather was unusually hot!
Very pretty nice and quite
My room. Found it dated, no thought to the the lay out and cluttered. Lack of plug sockets. Wallpaper coming of the ceiling, the shower was dated and sprayed the room even when the curtain was shut
The beautiful grounds
Lack of air conditioning
Really pretty outside.
Rooms are a bit worn but clean and great value for money! I had a great sleep and the grounds are really pretty
