Inadequate, inept, dingy

The bathroom door doesn’t close. The carpet is aged probably from 1970s and the beds were very uncomfortable. When we arrived and they asked for our credit card for the $50 incidentals, they said our card was rejected. So I gave them cash and called my credit card company and they said they did not reject it on their end. Now it’s checkout time and they want to inspect the room before they refund the $50 cash. I have never heard of such a thing and in such a dumpy hotel. They should’ve inspected the room before we arrived. Will never ever stay at this place again.

The location was perfect. The price was the 2-3 times cheaper than similarly located areas. The free breakfast is limited but it was better than the nothing I get at most other hotels.

A nasty little hotel that should be condemned

Cons:

The misleading marketing prior to staying. It is a former Best Western and there is a reason they no longer own it. The reviews do not match the reality.
It is a very tired hotel in need of urgent maintenance. There is a very strong smell of mold which is then re circulated through the poor internal air system. The hotel is not clean. In fact the former Beat Western foyer is the best bit aside from the broken printer, coffee and gaming machine.
The room was filthy, moldy and like a low standard hostel. The swimming pool was a death trap in and out of the pool. There was brown liquid seeping into the pool from an in ground filter on the bottom of the pool. Band aids, clothing, dirt and diapers surrounded the outside of the pool. The breakfast was expired yoghurt.
This is a nasty little hotel that needs to be shut down. There is a reason there were only 2 cars in the car park. The staff member and us. Keep driving. There are other better options.

The room was clean and the breakfast was okay. Would stay again for the price.
Pros:

It was close to everything and the room was clean. Breakfast was okay, only bagels/toast, cereal, waffles and yogurt. However the breakfast attendant was great he kept everything replenished and very clean!

Cons:

The elevator doors kept opening when we were trying to go downstairs happened 3 times so we just got off and used the stairs just to be on the safe side.

The stay was overall comfortable and the location was great, just had to pay for a week of trips at
Pros:

The location was very accessible to the historical Williamsburg area as well as the highway so I could get my partner to the Coast Guard Academy with ease

Cons:

The whole reason I chose this hotel was for the gym advertised on the website. Not only was the gym closed and non-functional, there was no notification of this being the case. I would recommend potentially partnering with a local gym for a coupon or something so hotel guests have access to health facilities nearby if that is a priority for them.

Cheap. Nice pool. Close to Busch. Stinky! Needs a lot of matinence!
Pros:

The pool was great and it was very close to Busch Gardens

Cons:

They very obviously don’t keep up with the place too well. The entire lower floor smells like mold and there were too many tiny problems in the room to even feel like listing out but they could definitely use I lot of touching up! The breakfast was very disappointing as well.
