The property was sound proof, needed for the location as it seems to be a party destination. The staff were good overall with some exceptional individuals, starting with the exceptional staff Tamarin & Jaimesen at breakfast were attentive, memorised our preferences quickly and went the extra mile to comment on local knowledge. The concierge were great also, they had good knowledge of Malta and were forthcoming with tips and tricks that made travel easier. Mina tried very hard to make our stay comfortable, checked in regularly and also went the extra mile to make check in and check out easy.
On check in $2000 euro was held on my card. This would have been ok if it were explicitly stated and a statement of the account was provided including the nightly deposit taken. Clearer communication here would have made the initial reaction to this charge smoother.
The ‘private beach’ was a big draw card for us, we booked the Intercontinental instead of the Corinthian for this feature. The private beach was not private, it was advertised as a beach bar and there were members of the public using the beach, drinking and smoking. Not a very nice experience or facility to use.
To add to the insult, we found out we could only access the panoramic pool and not the rooftop infinity pool unless we paid.
Fantastic breakfast with a variety of options, clean room, as well as very welcoming and warm staff. Also, interestingly, the hotel had incredibly fast elevators. The beach and pools were fantastic as well, with outstanding services.
Some of the rooms had air conditioning issues, which the staff quickly addressed in a kind and apologetic manner. Location wise, it can get loud at times due to nearby construction and clubs, however I cannot say I was bothered by the noise as the room was well isolated.
Staff were very friendly, endeavored to remember names and preferences, would go out of their way to be of assistance
The hotel is advertised as St Julian’s, and is definitely Paceville. The area has become a party area with drugs, alcohol and loud music constantly. If I had known the location better I would have e booked further south
L’emplacement de l’établissement,le confort du lit, la propreté, le service et le personnel
Le club ,
Het bed en het personeel. Voor de rest een erg gedateerd hotel.
de gedateerdheid van alles en donkere kamer.
Our stay at InterContinental Malta was truly memorable, and the main reason for that was the people.
The hotel itself is showing its age in some areas and could benefit from renovation. However, what makes this place special is not the building, it is the team.
The greatest asset of this hotel is its staff. They are the people who make guests feel comfortable, safe, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. They create the feeling that you are not just staying in a hotel, but that you are truly on holiday.
We would like to express our special gratitude to Mina, Katerina, Malcom, Dunja, and the wonderful lady from the restaurant from Kenya Njambi with really good emotional intelligence)) and housekeeping staff as well- Thank you all!!! Every interaction with them was warm, professional, thoughtful, and kind.
To all the other team members whose names we unfortunately cannot remember, thank you as well. Every single employee we met contributed to making our stay more enjoyable and more special.
A hotel can renovate rooms and buildings, but it is much harder to create a team with such genuine hospitality. Your people are your greatest strength and asset.
Thank you for your dedication, kindness, and hard work. You made our stay better than we could have hoped for, and you are the reason we would happily return.
Old fashioned
Super schönes Hotel mit außergewöhnlichem Gym.
Gar nichts.
Very helpful and friendly staff.
Some amenities in the room were broken. We were able to change rooms but if we had not been it wouldn't have been ideal.
The experience in Intercontinental was really nice. First we encountered sone problems then these were solved quickly. Especially the location was nice it was close to sliema and Valetta. Hotel staffs, guest relations was caring and friendly. We loved our room. The breakfast was sufficient.
if you want to close to seaside saint juliant is not a correct location. the hotel has a private beach however the sea is not clear and the coast is not that much large and big.
