One of the best apartments that I have ever stayed in. Cried when I had to leave
Pros:

We had great communication with the owner. We were met at the port and then a short walk to the apartment. As soon as we opened the shutters to the terrace, the view was breath taking. I have never had such a fantastic view in my life. I could have sat and looked at the view all day. I spent a lot of time in the hot tub, just enjoying the view. The apartment had everything that you would need. It was situated in an area close to everything. If I went back to Naxos, I would stay there again without question.

Cons:

There is very little storage in the apartment to unpack your clothes apart from a hanging rail and a shelf. I had to leave most of my things in my case, which isn't a big problem and I worked with it. I think some kind of privacy between the two apartments with hot tubs would be nice as you dont really want to be in them at the same time looking at each other, some kind of screen. Also even though there is a sign off the beach informing walkers that it is a private area, they take no notice. More often than not when we were sat in the hot tub, people would just walk across our terrace and stare at us as if we were animals in a zoo, not sure what could be done about that.

Janine war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Cons:

Kaltes Ambiente, sehr ungemütlich, der Whirlpool ist direkt im Zimmer. In der Küche fehlt so ziemlich alles, was man erwartet. Reine Geldmacherei, schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Die Filteranlage und die Pumpe des Whirlpoos läuft die ganze Nacht, wir konnten wegen des immer wieder beginnenden Läms nicht wirklich schlafen. Das Zimmer ist durch den Whirlpool feucht, unsere Kleidung dann auch.

Portara will always hold a special place in our hearts. From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely exceptional. They arranged the most wonderful driver to pick us up from the airport and take us anywhere we needed throughout our stay in Naxos, making our trip completely stress-free.
The room was beautiful, with breathtaking views and the perfect location — literally steps from the sea and the charming labyrinth of Old Town Naxos filled with shops and restaurants. Waking up each morning to the sound of waves crashing beside the Temple of Apollo felt like a dream. Breakfast on the seaside terrace quickly became one of our favorite memories.
The room had every thoughtful touch imaginable: robes, slippers, water, wine, microwave, iron, hairdryer, coffee maker, shampoo — truly everything we could possibly need. Every detail felt warm, welcoming, and perfect.
And then there was “Max” — the sweet gray striped tabby with one bad eye who unofficially adopted us during our stay. He waited for us every evening when we returned from our excursions and somehow made Portara feel even more like home.
This place is magical, and we already cannot wait to come back.

Cons:

The only negative we found was having to leave.

The only recommendations i have:. Some sort of a nightlight or very dim light for the bathroom for night use, if I had used any of the lights available in the bathroom at night it would have affected the bedroom area. if I had switched any of those lights on I would’ve woken up my husband up sleeping in the bed. But I needed a like to be able to see the steps and the toilet and it was very dark. And a lighter blanket than the very large quilt for the bed. I was cold and that large quilt was too much/too hot. It needed something in between the quilt and the thin bed cover.

Pros:

Nous avons passé 4jours à cet endroit. L’accueil par Jeannine a été super , elle est venue au ferry, elle nous indiquer les endroits à voir et les bons resto.

Cons:

La chambre était super ainsi que l’emplacement. Nous étions près de tout.

La mejor vista para hospedarte en Naxos
Pros:

Una suite con una de las mejores ubicaciones en la isla, a pocas cuadras del puerto, (llegás caminando). Increíble vista al mar y a la Portara. Equipada con lo mejor para la estadía, incluso tiene para cocinar, todo tal cual se ve en las fotos. A una cuadra de supermercados y de la costanera con todos los restaurantes y cafeteria. La atención de Janine fue increible, tuvimos que llegar antes e irnos despúes por una gran tormenta y ella nos ayudó en todo. Volveríamos sin dudarlo!

Great room, magnificent view, and Janine was exceptional.
Pros:

Janine, manager, met us at the port and walked us to the hotel which was just minutes away. I felt that was customer service above and beyond! The room was exactly as depicted on the website and it, the view, and location was simply jaw-dropping. The room and view makes us want to come back!!

Cons:

We had also reserved a room for our friends. Unfortunately, they did not realize the doors automatically lock when it closed. They did do that at night and had to come to our room to wake us. We tried calling every number available to help us and no one answered. We even called booking.com and no one there could help either. Our friends had to end up sleeping on the floor in our room until morning. I strongly believe the hotel needs to put a plan in places so if this happens to other guests they are not left stranded. Fortunately, our friends could sleep on our floor. But what if either one of us were the only ones staying there? That would have been a terrible situation.

Would stay here again.
Pros:

Great location. Grocery store, bakery, laundry, restaurants and shops were all just around the corner. Steps from the ferry terminal. It was very easy to walk to the place with our luggage. Room was very clean. Host was accommodating with our needs and gave great advice for locations around the island to visit. Luxury stay with bathrobes and slippers. Bed was comfortable. Rain shower had lots of pressure.

Cons:

Just a few minor things. Would have appreciated paper towels in the kitchen, and facial tissues and face cloths in the bathroom.

A great stay in Naxos city
Pros:

Great location. Friendly staff (Janine was very helpful and responsive). Jacuzzi with a view on the Naxos Apollo temple (Portara) is unforgettable.

Cons:

We struggled a bit with the instruction for the hot tub. We would have enjoyed more towels although we had 3 sets for 3 of us.

Great room but cold showers & no wifi
Pros:

Great location right on the ocean front. Watching the waves from bed was excellent.
Very clean.

Cons:

No hot water for the entire stay. Cold showers were not appreciated. Told our host bug it wasn’t corrected.
Wifi didn’t work - not corrected.
Lost water completely for a few hours but not the hotels fault.

Pros:

L'emplacement près du port et du centre ville. La communication avec le propriétaire.

Cons:

Vu sur un parking ( suite numéro 4). Nous sommes restés 3 nuits et pas d'eau chaude pendant 24 h ,la fin du séjour.
Des serviettes de toilette de mauvaise qualité.
Le spa qui donne sur la rue, pas d'intimité.

Wonderful stay with a few nuisances
Pros:

The welcoming host was incredible and super helpful, met us at the port and escorted us to our room, even though we arrived on a super windy day! She is incredible, helped us rent a car and explained all the amenities. Was also super responsive whenever we messaged. The location is excellent, you are walking distance to the old town, restaurants, bars, and the port itself. The suite itself is lovely, very spacious and has everything you need from an espresso machine and microwave to an ironing board and hairdryer. The jacuzzi also works well, with a great view from the window. The bed is comfortable and the television is amazing.

Cons:

Despite putting the jacuzzi in sleep mode, it starts working again by itself after a while. This didn't really bother us, as it was like white noise that sent us to sleep. However, in our last two nights, the keypad outside of our room wouldn't stop beeping and was very annoying, so we had to leave the television on just to sleep. On our last night, there was also a horrendous smell of sewage coming from the bathroom. Though I must admit, I don't think this can be attributed to the accommodation but rather Greece's primitive plumbing. Overall, it was a very pleasant and comfortable stay so we still believe the pros outweighed the cons. The AC wasn't that powerful, which for guests visiting in April like us was fine, but it might be a different story in the summer..
