We would definitely like to come back different time of the year.
Pros:

Lake view room was just amazing. We were lucky that Mt Fuji revealed itself on both days of our stay at the hotel. Very clean and stylish room. The friendliness and hospitality of staff was 10 out of 10. My daughter and I have fish and nuts allergies and the hotel did their best to accommodate for our allergies during breakfast and dinner.

Cons:

The halls and staircases are a bit outdated but to be honest you only use those areas for a few minutes a day.

La atención del personal fue excepcional y la habitacion también. Muy limpia y ajustándose a lo reservado. Además tienen coche que te lleva y trae de la estación y todos los amenities necesarios.

Cons:

Las zonas comunes del hotel (pasillos, onsen, etc.) son muy viejos y están malgastados, manchados y muy sucios. Ademas olían mal. Una pena porque eso hace que nos llevemos una imaginen no buena del hotel (aunque la habitación era excepcional) y el precio caro para ello. Deberían hacer una buena reforma ya.

Pros:

The room was loud but only due to other guests. Perfect stay all around! Staff was extremely friendly and the onsen was clean and presentable at all times.

Pros:

Das Personal war unglaublich freundlich und hilfbereit. Der Blick auf den Fuji ist traumhaft und der Shuttlebus extrem praktisch. Das Essen (Halbpension, 2 Nächte) ist ein typisch japanisches hochwertiges Menü, welches unglaublich detailverliebt und ausgesprochen schön angerichtet wird. Man isst im Speisesaal und hat 4 Haupterichte zur Auswahl (vorab), die anderen Gänge variieren, was toll ist!

Cons:

Die Futons waren uns zu unbequem, das Essen war geschmacklich für uns sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig (v. a. das Frühstück), und die Ausstattung der Zimmers spärlich. Der Onsen im unteren Stockwerk ist nicht sehr einladend, er wirkt eher wie ein Waschraum. Im oberen Onsen (mit Ausblick) waren wir nicht.
Aber es ist ein Ryokan und da ist es nun mal so. Es war ein Erlebnis, deshalb hatten wir es auch gebucht;)

A charming, traditional hotel with attentive staff, excellent single-sex onsens and a lovely authentic Japanese experien
Pros:

The traditional Japanese experience was a real highlight, from sleeping on futon beds to enjoying a traditional Japanese breakfast. The onsens (single-sex) were excellent, and the attentive staff made everything easy, notably with a quick shuttle service to the town centre. The slightly older, traditional design gave the hotel a lot of character while remaining perfectly functional and comfortable.

Cons:

Nothing to report. We have no negative comments about our stay.
