Excellent breakfast selections as well as the location. Excellent amenities overall.
There is a musty smell on the floor we stayed on. Also, a musty smell coming from the heating and air handler. Might be something to address for future guests.
The VALUE ... Very nice for the price.
The tstat had a limit for the heat of only 75 .

It was a nice place to stay. Rooms were excellent. The breakfast was good. Except that there was no bacon, biscuits or gravy. This is the south. Bacon, biscuits and gravy are a staples. 🤣
Not told of the dog fee till 2 hours before arrival. Nowhere on booking page does it mention a charge for dogs. They send an email asking that you notify them if you are bringing a dog. So I called a few weeks in advance incase there was an issue. They never mentioned dog fee. Now I underatand there being a fee. It would have just been good business to inform guests beforehand. Charge is $90 for a 1-2 day stay and $130 for 3 or more days.
We appreciate the amenities and facilities including the complimentary breakfast and refrigerator and cooking burner. The swimming pool and fitness center was nice also. The grits were very tasty in the breakfast and the all day coffee was appreciated as well.
The room we stayed in had some construction issues such as nails sticking up through the carpet when you walk up the stairs you get poked by the sharp end of the nail. The toilet upstairs in the loft is incredibly tiny! There is also a light for the stairs which you are unable to turn off so you are greeted with daylight spectrum light waves throughout the night. We had to cover it in order to get any sleep. One final thing is that there was no exhaust for cooking so you have to be very careful while cooking because any smoke will set off the alarm. We open the window to the balcony in order to offset the normal smoke produced from cooking.

We have stayed here several times and keep coming back! We love the rooms…very spacious, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast is awesome and the staff is very good about continually replenishing the food items. Starbucks coffee available 24/7 in the lobby. We love the pool and hot tub, although, unfortunately, we didn’t have the greatest weather. Still had a great, relaxing mini vacation. Palmera Inn is in close proximity to stores and restaurants. Very good value too! We’ll be back!
This may be a city issue, but there is very poor lighting on Park Lane when you turn onto it from Wm. Hilton Parkway. Also, the overflow parking lot across the street is very dark! More lighting would be great.
Loved how close it was to everything and how clean it was. We also loved that it came with everything we needed.
The staff. All the staff we encountered were rude. The front desk were rude when we asked for something extra and the cleaners were rude when we asked for an extra towel. It’s a shame because we really enjoyed the property but the staff put a bad taste in our mouth and makes us consider elsewhere for next time.
