Pros:

Convenient to the places we needed to go as visiting family great price for the first night would of stayed a further night but the price had gone up by £25 so had to cut our trip short 😒

Cons:

Just the cost of the second night which was a lot higher

Bottom of the barrel, every expense spared

Bed and room were clean. Staff helpful

Cons:

Location was just feet from a motorway services (I could see the entrance from my window just a few feet away! After booking I was informed that I had to pay an additional £5 for parking (hidden costs). I stupidly included an extra £8 for a continental breakfast that turned out to be a small cardboard box with a pack of cornflakes and milk, a pan o chocolo, a flapjack and a miniature bottle of water! What a joke!!

Timothy on reception was terrific. All these kind of hotels (Days Inn, Travelodge, Mercure etc) are much the same. It's the staff who make the difference, and Timothy made a difference 😀
