midden in het centrum

Cons:

De pub onder de kamer was nogal rumoerig. Het was zaterdag. Veel luidruchtig publiek.

Comfortable room in a nice local pub.
Pros:

Great location, very close to the train and bus stations and the town centre where all the main shops are located.
We loved meeting two local dogs, Dufus and Nova and their lovely owners, down in the bar one evening.
The Giant Bellflower, a J. D. Wetherspoon pub, is just around the corner which was really handy for eating. There are plenty of other places to eat and drink too.

Cons:

Nothing - all good.

Old town centre pub ,
Pros:

The position in town , car park right outside the pub , room on the small size but clean n tidy , nice town plenty of pubs n restaurants, very nice town

Cons:

Check in took a while because the barman was very busy, then he couldn't find our booking , luckily a woman appeared and found it , so all good in the end .

Lovely room good price will return.
Pros:

Excellent location. Good sized room. Lovely comfy bed. Powerful shower. They give you full list of places for breakfast.

Cons:

Bit of pub noise but we expected that and they supplied earplugs.

Not a place to stay if you value your sleep
Pros:

Convenient location in the middle of town.

Cons:

Music from the bar was still playing loudly at 3am in the morning. When mentioned the next day no apology or explanation was given, only told it would finish at 1 that night.

Give the hotel a wide berth if you want to sleep
Pros:

The room was very nice and clean, location was excellent too.

Cons:

I was expecting a bit of noise from the bar downstairs until closing time at midnight, however there was loud music and a lot of people chatting, singing etc. The music went on until 05:30am, I could still hear people talking in the bar until 6am. I had to get up for work at 6am, this was on a Thursday night.

Greeted like old friends by staff and customers
Pros:

Very friendly greeting from the staff and some of the customers when we arrived in the pub.
Shown to our room by a very pleasant gentlemen who explained everything perfectly
They have clearly recently spent a lot of money refurbishing the bedrooms. Lovely wooden doors and modern bathroom suites
Great view of Selby Abbey from the window
Public car park right outside the pub, we could see the car from our room

Cons:

A very minor suggestion for improvement would be some hand soap in the bathroom, I found some shower gel in the shower so I used that. But other than that, it was fabulous, perfect for our needs
