An excellent stop for two nights - very helpful staff (in particular Mr & Mrs Housekeepers) - would
Pros:

No breakfast available but a list of cafés was provided - the Abbey Café opposite the property was excellent and we used the local Wetherspoon on Sunday as the Abbey was closed.

Cons:

Rather too much noise from the bar -evidently a popular place (no problem with that) but the disjointed music was not good and didn't stop until after 11pm

overall good, excellent room let down by noise.
Pros:

Excellent room, as you would expect. Clean and tidy, all facilities you need including tea coffee etc. Staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay, and after too. Excellent location for local facilities.

Cons:

Noise from pub downstairs, although not extremely loud, you could hear the music until closing time, around midnight. No free parking, 30 minutes outside hotel (8am-6pm) or council pay and display carpark.

Lovely clean comfortable room.
Pros:

Short 5 minute walk to train station & situated right in the town centre. Room was excellent clean comfortable & everything you’d need provided (toiletries beverages great WiFi)
Private access gate if you’d prefer not to go through the pub to your room.

Cons:

Didn’t worry me but some people might be put off a little with the noise from the pub.

Great Location in the centre of Selby
Pros:

Good budget accommodation with a great location in Selby town centre. Staff very friendly. Secure access to the side of the property via a locked gate so no need to walk through the bar area. Tea and coffee provided. Rooms are above a busy bar and opposite the Post Office depot so some will find it noisy but they do provide ear plugs which we found very helpful.

Cons:

Check out by 10am a little early for a Sunday but no major issue.

Pros:

The rooms a re small and compact but very clean and comfy, Ideal for a base to travel the local area. Close to Bus/train Station to explore the local area. Close enought o grt into York without having to pay York Hotel Prices.

Cons:

Its a shame they don't do food, but there are enough local places to get food from, the chip shop next door is excellent.
