Beautiful hotel and great staff
The location is amazing, situated in Melrose Arch, a very safe suburb of Johannesburg. The hotel staff made our stay. They went out of their way to help us and were so much fun to deal with during our stay. The rooms were very modern, well appointed and clean. The food was delicious, with two restaurants to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel!
African Pride in Melrose Arch, South Africa has been the most magnificent hotel stay. The staff was exceptional and went above and beyond any and all expectations! It is a must stay hotel!!!

Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for better food and service! Location is safe and walkable within a recommended distance / area. We were upgraded to a lovely suite. Housekeeping was daily and great! We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located is a very safe upmarket area with plenty of cafes and restaurants. The hotel has very modern facilities. The staff from the Doorman who greeted us to the reception staff and restaurant staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The breakfast at the restaurant was excellent too. Perfect, safe position in Melrose Arch. Right by great restaurants and shops. The most wonderful staff! Comfortable room. Great breakfast. A home away from home.
A little more space on the one side of the bed would be good for a two person stay. Some aspects of the rooms and bathrooms could be upgraded.
Fantastic experience at the hotel. In retrospect not an ideal family hotel by the facilities- but the food and the spectacular service made up for it.

Minor niggles
- constant problems with second room key (something to do with my wife not using my name 🙄)
- there is no proper lounge area, so if you eat outside the hotel and want come back for a nightcap you are in a corner of the restaurant
- small outdoor pool not ideal for winter - but that’s common in the area.
