World class hotel and service by any measure, I would visit again and again!

Beautifully located hotel, prime space, right in the middle of Melrose Arch Boulevard, walking distance to every amenity you would need on a family holiday. Plenty of great options in restaurants, bars, coffee bars, desserts, light shopping, light activities, the works. Very safe! Room sizes are generous, clean and elegant. Also try the Camelot Spa, connected to the hotel, it's a must do! Staff at the hotel is best in class, service doesn't get too much better. Breakfast was excellent with options for alacarte or buffet in both traditional and Mediterranean style.

BEAUTIFUL hotel and staff. Exceeded out expectations. LOVED IT>
Pros:

The staff and hotel ambiance was fantastic. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable. The staff was dressed in authentic African dress and it made the experience so real. First night in S. Africa.

Cons:

nothing. Everything at this hotel was top notch. We were worried that you had to be very vigilant being in Johannesburg but we felt completely safe and happy.

Excellent stay in the heart of Melrose Arch
Pros:

Great location (hotel with the best location within Melrose Arch), exceptional staff who do everything with a smile on their faces, comfortable and spacious rooms, and lovely breakfast. One of the gentlemen at the front desk, Atlahang (I hope I got the spelling correct 🙏🏽) deserves a special mention - he is simply wonderful!

An exceptional stay—easily the best hotel of our entire Africa trip
Pros:

I just completed a 15-day trip through six African countries and stayed at numerous hotels along the way. African Pride Melrose Arch was, without question, the best hotel of the trip—and honestly one of the best hotels I can remember staying at in quite some time.

The property itself is beautiful, our room was amazing, breakfast was genuinely next-level, and dinner was excellent as well. But what truly made the stay stand out was the service. Every interaction felt warm, polished, and genuinely attentive. It seems clear that this is either a reflection of outstanding training or an exceptional hotel culture—probably both.

A few team members deserve special recognition: Prince, the bellhop, was welcoming and helpful from the start. Prince, our dinner server—a different Prince—provided fantastic service during dinner. Lizwi—I hope I have the spelling right—made breakfast especially enjoyable. Nathaniel, another bellhop, was equally friendly and attentive. And most of all, Zinny at the front desk was simply outstanding. She was next-level: warm, capable, thoughtful, and memorable in a way that genuinely elevated the entire stay. I would gladly return to this hotel even if Zinny were the only staff member I interacted with.

It is rare for a hotel to get every part of the experience right: the room, the food, the setting, and—most importantly—the people. African Pride Melrose Arch did exactly that. I would recommend it without hesitation and look forward to returning.
