A great place to stay.
Pros:

I was very pleased with the hotel. The staff were professional and courteous, and provided good information about the local businesses and area. The accommodations were comfortable and clean.

I will definitely consider the Commodores Inn for future travel.

Keep driving, do not stop here!

We were allocated Room 124 at the furthest end of the property - possibly due to using Booking.com?

Beds were old with sagging mattresses and loud squeak whenever you moved - very uncomfortable. Fridge was leaking and made a terrible noise through the night until we unplugged it.

The whole property is past its use-by date and needs a big renovation.

Very nice location for our needs & friendly staff, but no breakfast.
Pros:

The girl at the front desk was an amazing employee, greeting us spectacularly! The kids had the pool to themselves! Perfect location for our needs!

Cons:

Pricey but probably because of the time of year. No breakfast.

Convenient, comfortable, quiet place to stay near Stowe.
Pros:

This is a very comfortable and quiet hotel just outside downtown Stowe. The manager is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The breakfast nook was a convenient place to enjoy the breakfast we brought with us, and had good coffee.

Cons:

Rooms are a little worn around the edges. Our sink had cracks in in the surfece it, though it functioned well.

The pools were wonderful, the availability of kayaking on the pond is great! I also like that there is coffee all the time, a microwave and toaster for use in the lobby.

Don’t trust these scam artists!!!!

As far as this place is concerned, it is okay, despite their outdated amenities. But what really hacks me off with this place is when they charged me a penalty fee and didn’t bother to tell me when I stayed. I had to make some modifications to my trip. And I was able to reschedule my other hotel stays just fine without any penalties. But this one not only charged me for a night that I already modified, it charged me an extra $20 penalty fee. And it was just this specific place. And I checked all my stays, and it said modifications, all set. Then I noticed this additional charge on my credit card, it said I made modifications after this specific date which was not true. And they won’t look into it for me. They deceived me. They betrayed me. Don’t waste your money on this place!!!!! Hotels.com let you cancel and make modifications. And if it doesn’t, it will let you know. When I found Commodores Inn, it said 100% fully refundable, reserve now, pay later. And I thought “great” a week before my schedule stays, I had to make changes j all the places, and I was able to do that successfully on all of them except this one. And they never bothered to tell me they just put that charge on there without me thinking I would notice. So I’m here to say do not trust these guys they’re con artist!!!! they may be getting an additional $174 from me which is not warranted, but I hope anybody reads this will prevent them from staying at this place!
