Super stylish, extremely clean, not in the least bit tired looking as hotels often are. Beautiful pool and pool area.
Too quiet in the evenings which was such a shame as the interior is absolutely beautiful. Would have liked to dine there but we might have been the only ones there!
The breakfast was wonderful but you can only get one cup of coffee. If you want more, you have to pay. The AC works great.
The bathroom stunk with a very strong urine smell. Mold very apparent in shower. The beds are very uncomfortable. The AC does it's job but very loud.
Bed was small and uncomfortable. Beach chairs and umbrellas not appropriate and disappointing for a 5 star luxury hotel rated.
Nice and clean
Perfect food
The hospitality of the property. The rooms are spacious. The sheets are changed daily. Excellent breakfast, served in a very refined setting by very friendly staff.
the beach could have been better looked after.
Beautiful hotel in a quiet location.
Lively pool area where people did not hog the sun beds so there was always enough for everyone.
Staff were very friendly. The owner was around to chat and make our stay as perfect as possible.
Lovely hotel with a good breakfast included . Free pick up from airport to hotel, when we used booking.com
Friendly staff and room was ready on arrival.
Loved this hotel. Very charming, and the people who work there would do anything and more for you.
We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, the hotel gave us a complimentary bottle of lovely wine. The room was large , bed huge, massive balcony and air-conditioning worked perfectly.
The beach wasn't very picturesque, but that's not hotel's fault, Kalamata is a city. The hotel pool are was lovely though, just dreamy. Everything very clean. The room was cleaned daily and the cleaning ladies even remembered that we liked to sleep in so would come only late morning.
All the staff was very friendly and helpful, they even let us have a late check out free of charge.
If I ever came back to Kalamata I would stay in Elessian again.
We recently stayed at your hotel for seven nights with our family, booking a total of four rooms. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, we encountered a number of maintenance issues across several of the rooms.
Among the problems we experienced were a room door that would not close properly, lack of hot water or insufficient water pressure in one of the rooms, a toilet that would not flush, a safe that could not be opened, a worn and damaged sink faucet, and a broken sink plug. These are basic maintenance issues that should have been identified and resolved before guests arrived.
In addition, our rooms were located quite far from the main building and the swimming pool, which made getting around the resort less convenient, especially for a family staying for a full week.
The pool area was also disappointing. The grass was sparse and poorly maintained, there were numerous ant nests, and many of the sun loungers were stained and not properly cleaned. These details significantly affected the overall impression of the hotel's facilities.
The hotel staff were courteous, attentive, and genuinely tried to resolve the problems, and we appreciate their efforts. However, dealing with these issues took time and required repeated attention on our part, which is not what one expects while on a family vacation.
The breakfast was satisfactory, but after staying for an entire week, we felt that a greater variety of food options would have been appropriate.
When checking out, we asked to speak with the hotel manager to discuss our experience. We were informed that she was unavailable at the time and that she would call us later that day. Unfortunately, we never received that call.
We would also like to point out, respectfully, that for a hotel advertised as a five-star property, the overall standard fell well below our expectations. Given the significant cost of our stay, we were disappointed by the overall experience. A five-star hotel should offer a much higher standard of maintenance, cleanliness, attention to detail, and guest service than what we encountered.
We hope our feedback will be taken seriously and used as an opportunity to improve the experience for future guests.

Not much. It was not at all as described on your site. It probably was this nice 30 years ago but it’s completely run down, unclean and you have to walk through a parking lot to get to your rooms. Many of the pictures of the hotel are EXTREMELY ENHANCED!!! very deceiving. The lobby looks like someone purchased everything from a pier one close out sale.
We rented two rooms for 6 nights, very expensive and completely not worth it. The beds are uncomfortable, the towels smell, there was a flashing light above our beds that kept us up all night. It was so bad we went out and bought tape to cover it.
The neighboring dogs barking ALL NIGHT. the staff was rude and so dismissive. They allow locals to use the pool which is not a problem until the staff COMPLETELY ignores you (a guest of the hotel) to serve those people. So if you don’t speak Greek, don’t stay here.
The pool, patio and furniture are so sad. Algae in the pool, gross chairs and cushions, dried out landscaping. You can tell this place was beautiful once a long time ago. reminds me of the hotel from the shinning.
Using the gym with someone smoking in the next room was interesting too…but that’s Greece I guess.
Breakast was great - lots of options. The pool is beautiful and large - by far the highlight. Also they use trees as natural umbrellas which is very thoughtful and looks beautiful. The rooms are a really good size. Some excellent local restaurants nearby (4-5). Very friendly staff - with adults and children! Very easy (and cheap via taxi) to get to the main beach or Old Town.
The hotel 'private beach' was dreadful - the beach isn't that tidy and the hotel sun loungers are in a terrible state (stained and with holes). It was a shame as the water is lovely - very clean and clear. The restaurant next to them and their loungers do put the Elysian to shame! The pool doesn't open until 11am which is odd and not ideal when you have children - who are up and ready for the pool by 9.30am! The concierge wasn't great, we asked about boat trips and they didn't know of any.
Goed hotel … en super leuk en heel groot zalig zwembad
