Elegant, pricey, mostly worth it
Pros:

Beautiful room, building, location is perfect, staff are very nice. Had the luxury pool all to myself yesterday. Noble Restaurant was excellent, worth the $$$ price.

Cons:

My room is in a separate building far away from front desk, restaurants, pool, parking. My biggest complaint is how long it takes staff to respond. Also, you can't control the air conditioning. There is a thermostat, but it doesn't actually allow you to make it cooler. Parking was a problem, and it took 20 minutes to get a porter to help us because the only parking spot available was a long city block away. I expected better because this is the most expensive hotel I've ever stayed in, by a lot.

Location was unmatched. Perfectly between Shaw festival theatre and the rest of Picton/Queen street which offers fantastic shops and cafes

Cons:

While I loved the Victorian nature of the hotel, it felt too worn down and dark to feel like it was luxurious. I was disappointed by the scuffed walls and worn down furniture that felt more worn than vintage.

Also the room description said there was a fireplace and it was luxurious etc and there was no fireplace and it did not feel luxurious aside from the turndown service!

Pros:

Location. Staff. Maintaining the heritage of the building.

Cons:

Restaurant is too expensive for our tastes but I’m sure it’s amazing. No fridge in the room. The tap isolation valve was partially closed because it was leaking.

Anniversary getaway
Pros:

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. They were aware of it left us some chocolates and a rose on our pillow.
We did not expect this.
This hotel took us back into time. Just a lovely place. Very accommodating to our needs. The room was beautiful!
We love the area and hope to get a good deal next year!

Cons:

Only one very small note… it was a super hot day and more ahead, our room had A/C unfortunately we could not control it. The temp was set at 76F …24CWe would have loved to drop it a few more degrees. Everything else was perfect!

Pleasant overall
Pros:

Very comfortable beds, location is convenient , plenty places for guest parking, staff being nice and helpful. We arrived a bit earlier, room was already ready so hotel let us checked in right away.

Cons:

Room 277 faces the back side where the garbage bins locate. So there is not much view and early morning noises from the pickup trucks. Didn’t bother us as we were out most of time and deep sleepers. Could be bothersome if you want to enjoy the room and need quietness.

Unforgettable!!!!
Pros:

This establishment is truly amazing and beautiful inside as outside.Staff was very kind ,respectful and very professional. Cleanliness was truly at par . I truly had peace a quiet.Nice and calm place to be .Loved the outside fountain

Cons:

I didn’t like that i had to leave so early ,Should have stayed a few more days .It will give me a chance to return and appreciate my stay next time.
