Very disappointing experience, especially for a family traveling with children.
We reserved two rooms for two adults and four children for July 14–16. We even called the hotel before arriving to confirm that our rooms would be next to each other, but no one mentioned that the A/C was not working.
When we arrived before 7 p.m., we were told the A/C was out and that we could use fans and open the doors. Our assigned rooms had no windows!!! One room had only a regular exterior door with no screen, on the ground floor. We were expected to leave that door open for ventilation, which was obviously not a safe option while sleeping with children.
We asked to be moved, but were told there were no other clean rooms available. Unfortunately, the front desk representative showed very little concern and made no meaningful effort to help us find another solution.
We contacted Booking.com while still at the hotel, and they confirmed the situation directly with the property. We were told we would receive a refund, so we left and paid for another hotel.
What makes this even more frustrating is that the hotel’s own website now states that the A/C is out of service and tells guests that “windows in the rooms can be opened.” Our rooms did not have windows that could be opened.
We are now being told that the hotel is refusing to authorize our refund. We did not change our minds or simply cancel, we arrived ready to stay, but the hotel could not provide suitable rooms or move us to alternatives.
I have also repeatedly tried to speak with hotel management and have been unable to reach a manager.
I hope Holiday Inn/IHG management reviews how this situation was handled and does the right thing by issuing a full refund.
Location
Ac wasn’t working
We had a very disappointing experience and were not able to stay at this hotel.
When we arrived, we were told the AC was not working, but we were reassured that we could open the balcony door and get fresh air. Unfortunately, when we got to the room, the balcony opened to a wall, and we could not leave the door open because the balcony was filthy and clearly had not been cleaned.
The facilities had a bad smell, and the room itself felt stuffy, hot, and smelly. It was not comfortable or acceptable for a stay, so we had to leave and transfer to another hotel.
While we were still at the hotel, the other mom who was with me and also paid for the reservation went to the front desk to speak with Kyle and try to find a solution. She was simply asking if there was another option, maybe a different room or some other way to make the situation work. Unfortunately, Kyle was very rude to her, dismissed her concerns, and was unwilling to help resolve the problem.
We left the hotel in a calm and respectful way because we simply could not stay there in that heat. Later, we realized her daughter had left a teddy bear in the room, so we called the hotel. Kyle answered and again was not willing to help us. He told us we would have to wait until the next morning, even though her daughter was very upset and could not sleep all night without it.
What made the situation even more frustrating is that Booking.com did not properly take care of the issue after telling me they would. Because of this, I ended up stuck paying for two different hotels.
This was a very disappointing experience. The hotel did not meet the expectations listed online, and the way the situation was handled made it even worse.
Avoid staying here. The HVAC system has been inoperable since at least April 2026 by other reviews. There is no advanced notice. No screens on the windows or sliding doors. Hot and stuffy. Fans are supplied which are big and really loud. We were on the ground floor and thought that maybe moving up would allow us to open windows for cooling (no screens). Staff said that it would be even hotter. This hotel fails to meet the IHG habitability amenities. Pool and spa closed as well.
Location
No air-conditioning no hot water
Perfect location
The air conditioning was out
This hotel used to be our go to as it is very close to town and walkable to everything. We went in June when the weather was in the 80s, and the hotel failed to notify us ahead of time that they don't have their boilers on. So therefore, they had no air conditioning. They did put a box fan in our room, which was nice and loud, and our room temperature was in the 80s. The pool had been closed for over a week. Hotel management should have advised guests ahead of time so that they could have the option of canceling instead of being overheated. The room itself was okay, except for looking out at the parking lot and dumpsters. We'll definitely be looking at a different hotel the next time we go.
Location next to shopping and restaurants area.
Issues with air conditioning and one day I couldn’t get a hold of the front desk.
The air conditioning in the building hasn’t worked in months. It was so hot
They tell you “sorry , open a window” I asked for a fan and never got it.
I asked for an extra bed and they never provided it.
The bed is super uncomfortable , I would have rather slept on the floor.
Over all it is a very outdated hotel.
Beds. Service. Everything.
Location to the Village is nice. They do have coffee and tea available in the morning in the lobby.
No air conditioning!!!!! Despite what the description says, the ac is broken and won’t be fixed for awhile. They don’t tell you this until you read the sign on the front desk at check-in. They did provide a fan, however. No hot water on the third floor either. Front desk staff could not care less! Having customers pay full price without ac or hot water should be a crime. Don’t stay here.
Clean and walking distance to village and restaurants
No A/C in rooms. No fans either.
Lots of parking
No AC
No coffee with free breakfast
Had to pay for it
Slider to balcony did not lock and
Torn screen door
Noisy fan
Hardware in toilet tank sticks
And wastes water
The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean, and the room is beautiful!!!
There is no kettle in the room!!
We decided to take a little staycation during Memorial Day weekend. A quick 90 minute drive from home, and we reached this cute hotel which was on the older side, but still comfortable and quaint. It's in the absolute perfect location, in walking distance to food, drinks, stores, activities and entertainment.
The staff were friendly. Shoutout to Debbie and Anthony that made the check-in process easy and fast.
There's an onsite bar and restaurant. I loved that the bar overlooked this little pond and that it had outside seating. There was live music on the Saturday evening. There's complimentary coffee in the lobby.
Just an FYI there is no AC currently (not sure if that was temporary or permanent), so be prepared for the rooms to be very warm during the day, but who's staying in a hotel room during the day, when there's so much to see, right? Night time just leave the window open. We did get a fan to help cool room. Not sure how uncomfortable it will be in summer.
We will be back.
Nothing
Booked a room 4 months ago and received email night before my stay that my room was cancelled due to overbooking? No call, no apology nothing. I called and the lady at the desk said the manager had just done it in the computer system due to overbooking I said is there anything that could be done? I’ve been booked for almost 5 months for a Spartan race in big Bear California. She said no nothing can be done. The manager said it’s done. They claimed that Booking.com overbooked. And I explained that you’re just now letting me know the night before horrible customer service. I recommend no one staying here if this is the way that you customers. No offer of any room the future discount. Nothing just an email saying I was canceled. Unbelievable customer service wow.
