Disappointing stay — inconvenient location and unhelpful, unfriendly staff when we simply asked for

Poor location and very disappointing staff attitude

The location is not as convenient as we expected. Do not assume that being relatively close to the city centre means the hotel is actually in a convenient location — it is not.

The room not having a refrigerator was not a big issue for us. However, when we went to the lobby front desk to ask if we could get some ice, the staff member simply told us, “This is the lobby front desk. If you want ice, you need to ask the restaurant.”

So we went to the restaurant/bar. As soon as the bar staff heard that we wanted some ice, the attitude was very unfriendly. We asked if there was an ice bucket, and were told there was not. Instead, we were told that they could only put some ice in a cup and asked if we wanted that.

Seriously? There is no refrigerator in the room, no ice available from the front desk, and not even an ice bucket available from the restaurant?

The service and attitude from the staff made this experience particularly disappointing. Guests should not feel like they are being inconvenienced simply for asking for a basic request such as some ice.
