Pros:

I had a wonderful experience at the hotel, especially because of the exceptional service I received from Mr. Yasiru at the restaurant.
When I went for breakfast alone, the moment I entered the restaurant, Yasiru welcomed me with such a heartfelt greeting and a warm, genuine smile. He immediately made me feel comfortable, quickly arranged a suitable place for me, and made sure I had everything I needed.
What impressed me most was seeing how he treated every guest equally—with the same energetic vibe, kindness, and beautiful smile. Whether they were local or foreign guests, he consistently showed the same level of care and enthusiasm. His positive attitude truly makes a difference to the dining experience.

Pros:

Ocean view room was great, friendly staff, spacious bathroom with bathtub. Unlimited drinking water

Cons:

Old facilities, water was dropping from ceiling in the corridor (7th floor), and a wooden plank fell down from the ceiling right next to our child when we were walking to the lift - unacceptable for a 5 star hotel... could have been fatal :(

Nice staff and spacious room.

Cons:

Our room wasn't provided with water. And credentials for wifi was misleading; field names in the web page and credentials put on paper. Carpets aren't spotless maybe vacuumed but looks dirty.

We had a wonderful family stay at Taj Samudra Colombo. The staff were warm and professional.
Pros:

The service was beyond my expectations up on our arrival from the entrance to the room,the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Our Special appreciation goes to M.Asanka the room cleaner
Madame Anjalee Rajapaksha and Thathsarani, I and my family are going to miss their hospitality.
We look forward to meeting you again very soon.

Only thing my room had not balcony or able to open windows to feel the wonderful fresh air of the beautiful country SriLankan

The staff were nice and really helpful
Pros:

The staff and service was great but hotel needs renovation especially the rooms

Cons:

Rooms needed renovation and the common carpets and windows can be changed.
Introduce some local music for breakfast same like in other taj to keep the standard up
