It lookrd like a budget hotel. Not worth for the money paid.
Pros:

Staff was friendly

Cons:

Smelled like someone smoked all the time outside the room and inside as well(I dont smoke). Should do better cleaning and the hotel itself need a paint job. Outside looks like an abandoned hotel especially from pool side.

Travelling for business to Colombo
Pros:

I had a lovely stay at Taj Samudra. It was my first business trip to Sri Lanka. Sagara
Chief Concierge took wonderful care of me, helping with transport, shopping, currency and deliveries to the hotel. He was patient and kind. No request was too big or small. I look forward to my next trip!

Pros:

I went there for a two night stay with my husband and 20month old son and had booked deluxe room facing the ocean. However, the room had some issues. They immediately gave us a new room and even upgraded us. The staff is very courteous and was very helpful for the food for my baby.
The location is great and I would definitely recommend

Wonderful experience
Pros:

We had a wonderful breakfast experience thanks to all team member but special thanks to Dilhar and Gayan. They took excellent care of us every morning and made us feel truly at home. Their warm hospitality, kindness, and polite, friendly manner made every breakfast enjoyable. They were always attentive, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Thank you, Dilhar and Gayan, for making our stay even more special with your outstanding service!

Great place to stay in colombo.
Pros:

The location was excellent. Mall is a 5 minutes walk. Beach is just across the street. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Bathrooms are great too with essentials included.

Cons:

Their drinking water tasted a bit too much of chlorine, so had to buy it from the store at the mall.

Wow Food, Service & Hospitality @Navratna by TAJ!
Pros:

Driven by hunger and looking for a quick bite, we stopped by Navratna—and were blown away. Not only was the service incredibly fast, but we were treated to a truly sumptuous meal crafted by Chef Vipen, Chef Digambar, and Chef Pratibha. The Malai Kofta, Kulcha, Pudina Parantha, and Laccha Parantha were absolute perfection.

The hospitality provided by Nuzaim and Dhilara was amazing, far exceeding the already high expectations we have for the Taj brand. A special shoutout to Nuzaim and Chef Vipen, who went completely above and beyond their duty to ensure we left happy and deeply satisfied.

Wonderful Stay and Experience at Taj Samudra, Colombo
Pros:

It was really amazing to stay at Taj Samudra! How more than a month passed so fast. Wish, the days lasted longer. It was great to visit Colombo and we enjoyed each day, staying at hotel Taj Samudra. The ambience at Taj is so lively and fun filled! The live music, every Friday, the surprise events and the happy hours. We greatly enjoyed planting the coconut saplings. I am sure on our next visit, with our kids, the plants will be taller.

I have to mention about the positive and such warm vibes at Taj from the Directors and all the staff members. Our heartiest regards and thanks to 🙏🏼

Mr Malaka, Mr Rajive, Mr Irshad, Chef Sajesh, Chef Chauhan, Onitha, Thamali, Anjali, Shweta, Renoza, Himesh.

From the Port of Call and Latice cafe Nasitha and lasantha and Steward to name few Buddhika, Amila, Tithila, Ruan, Udari, Poorni and of course Deomali and Indrajeet for their sweet gesture to get blue lotuses for me (not just once) which is so rare. Infact, I had left my new phone at the Taj room and went for Yala trip and after 2 days came back to find it exactly, where i left it by mistake❤️

We will go back to Dubai with such wonderful memories and will definitely come back to stay at Taj again.

Pros:

Experience from Checking in till checkout was memorable.
Berni, Nisahsala, Anjalee, Chef Chauhan (at Indian Restaurant) reinforced iir belief in Brand The Taj .

It has always been a very nice stay at every property of The Taj
