Totally excellent - a very cool hotel.
Pros:

An incredibly special hotel. Really very good indeed - comfortable, stylish and everything was taken care of so unobtrusively. Most impressed. Lovely staff, cool bar, cool hotel.

Mama mia what a gem
Pros:

Looks a bit like former glory from the outside but its the proverbial oasis inside. From the bed, amenities, breakfast, linnen, location I could not find a flaw. Will for sure return.

A unique boutique hotel with a friendly atmosphere.
Pros:

The feeling of a unique boutique hotel. Friendly staff. Interesting interior design; strong caracter though a bit decadent, half tacky, but still sustainable. Enjoyed seeing the spacious room unchanged and having kept the original design from the 90´s. Spacious bathroom with adequate amenities. No prefab solutions here... Lovely breakfastroom with very attentive waiters. Breakfast adequate and a good variety without being unnesessary extravagant. (I missed the pickled herrings though) Excellent location although not exactly "city center". Nice and local atmosphere around the Mariatorget. Friendly and interesting neighbourhood. Two stops from the old town by subway. Nice bar in connection with the concert hall / theater collocated in the same building. Definately my favorite hotel in Stockholm.

Excellent location, welcoming service, boutique ambiance
Pros:

Good and friendly service and welcoming reception, nice room with design furniture, delicious breakfast and - most importantly - great location in Södermalm with its lively atmosphere yet hotel surroundings were quiet.

Cons:

Inzwischen ist zumindenst in dem Zimmer, in dem ich war, an zu sehen dass es auch schon über 20 Jahte alt ist.

Great location, friendly atmosphere, and a comfortable stay overall.
Pros:

The location is perfect — there is a park right in front of the hotel with a small playground, which is especially convenient for families. A subway station, grocery store, and several bakeries are all within a 5-minute walk. The breakfast was very good and tasty, even though the variety was not very large. We also really appreciated the coffee point, where we could get coffee or tea with milk 24/7 — a very nice and convenient touch. The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit dated and could benefit from some renovation and modernization. The breakfast selection could also be a little more varied.

Really excellent hotel in a great location
Pros:

What a wonderful hotel! Everything was perfect. Very clean, super comfortable bed and pillows, great amenities. I also liked the pull out ironing board that made it so easy to quickly iron an outfit. I appreciated the attention to detail like face cloths and quality bed linen. Also the location is great in a nice neighborhood with a park across the street and a metro station a minute away.

Perfect hotel for our family visiting Stockholm
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent. Both in the breakfast dining room each day and the front desk. Michelle went above and beyond to help us book a trip/stay in the archipelago and answer many questions.
And the shower water-pressure was incredible…unrivaled.

Gemütliches Hotel im Boutique-Stil, perfekt für einen entspannten Aufenthalt
Pros:

Tolles Stadthotel in zentraler aber ruhiger Lage in Södermalm, 150m bis zu U-Bahn, sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück, große Zimmer mit bequemen Betten, ein großzügiges Bad mit Fenster.

Cons:

Nichts auszusetzen, ist allerdings auch nicht ganz günstig…

Fantastic stay at the very best hotel in Stockholm!
Pros:

The Rival has a very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk through the doors - we were warmly greeted & offered an upgrade (small fee) from our Deluxe suite to one of the Penthouse suites by Malin which we gladly accepted.
Our lovely room 705 was spacious, lots of closet space, jetted tub, hugh shower, comfortable chairs with amazing views across the city.
We had great lunch/dinners a few times at the Tavern & also visited restaurants recommended to us by Cecelia & Malin - one of those restaurants was Sturehof - amazing seafood & fish dishes.
Members of staff helped us navigate the city - buses, metro, etc., nothing was too much for any of the team we spoke with during our stay, Food in the Tavern was also lovely & a great team there too! Stockholm is an amazing city, very clean & picturesque with wonderful people & gorgeous architecture - we plan to return in the near future & will only stay at & recommend the Rival!
