Reception Staff.
Far location.
The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. Nice big lobby/ breakfast area and good facilities for a London hotel
We found the breakfast items pretty poor quality. The buffet looked the part but didn't taste great. Also we were really disappointed that the pool was booked up for swimming lessons on Saturday morning. This took over about a third of the pool when it was such a busy time for guests to be using it. Nobody could really swim properly, it was way too crowded. I really don't think it is fair to advertise a pool and so people book the hotel especially (as we did) and then book out the pool for swimming lessons. It's not fair on guests.
Reception on 1st floor due to building works
The food and general friendly staff was good
On our first morning the fire alarm went off in the whole building at 6.55 am
My wife's disabled and I asked for an accessible room which they gave us but it was on the fourth floor, as we couldn't use the lift my wife really struggled with the stairs , there were absolutely no staff to help us at any point . We heard from another hotel resident that it was a false alarm so we went back to our room , my wife was in alot of pain for the rest of stay . Not 1 hotel employee informed us it was a false alarm so we couldn't go back to sleep just incase it wasn't true.
On our second day we were out all day so we got at 9pm and housekeeping hadn't replaced/replenished or cleaned anything in our room , which ment in our final morning we literally had no toilet paper so I had to go downstairs and get napkins from the restaurant so we could at least have a number 2( poo)
And the safe didn't work
The fire alarm went off at 7am and never even got a call to the room to say it was a false alarm. The least I expected was a free breakfast
Close to Expo
It was in the right location for what we needed.
Firstly there is work undergoing making the entrance appear gloomy and unwelcoming. You have to go to the first floor to check in, the stairwell going up isn’t appealing. There’s no clear signage advising to go upstairs to check in. The room was dirty, marks on sheets, old and tired. Parking there was only a couple of electric spaces that had non electric cars parked in. We arrived early to check in and the room was not available. We left our luggage as we were out for the day and didn’t return until around 11:30pm. When we arrived back, check in was long and being passed from one person to another, even with having two tired children present. We were given a family room however another family then checked in to room 2007 just after midnight waking us all up. Their children were opening the interconnecting doors making our children worried and feel unsafe. They were speaking in a foreign language and laughing, we were very uncomfortable. We called reception and raised this, nothing had changed until it seemed like their children finally caved in and went to sleep shortly after 2am. We politely knocked ok their door with no response. We raised this upon check out as well and were just given a measly sorry. The air con needed servicing and was not working in the room. We were not explained where to go for breakfast, where the spa facilities were or anything. I’ve raised this at the time of being there and also directly with the hotel after my stay, with no response. I’ve raised with Booking.com who say they are still awaiting a response from the hotel. Never stay here and look down the road at Holiday Inn.
The staff, the room, the facilities breakfast. Excellent service. Would definitely visit again.
I booked this in as a birthday special for my mother and the service did not disappoint. Very exceptional experience. The location was so convenient to travel and access all the transport like the cable cars, the train tube station, etc.

A super hotel. The rooms were great and we really liked the location- a stone’s throw from the DLR or the Elizabeth Line. Everywhere you as clean and we were impressed with the variety of foods for breakfast- including slices of fresh watermelon and some fresh fruit salad.
Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off just before 7. We headed downstairs and out into the car park. There were no staff to tell us what to do so around one hundred guests were left wandering around. Eventually, me husband went back into the building (even though we did not know it was safe) and spoke to one member of staff who had started checking people in for breakfast- despite the fact that the fire alarm was still sounding- and 3 reception staff who were still standing behind the desk oblivious to all of their guests still standing outside in pyjamas. All in all a nice hotel but severely let down by a reckless disregard to safety procedures and guest welfare. Disappointing.
Very spacious, comfortable rooms, great location and quiet, there was a minor problem at check in but it was sorted out with great and quick customer care via whatsapp.
There was a lack of gluten free options for breakfast
Hotel was lovely and clean.
I didn't like having to pay for two children's breakfasts as the family room was advertised as having breakfast included. This is very misleading.
No safe entrance. There was renovation to the ground floor so no real entry into the hotel.
Had to stick finger in the door to open. Painful if you have arthritis or even more impossible to open if someone was in a wheelchair.
No safe entry especially for accessibility
Fire alarm went off at 0655 no staff member in sight the one we saw on floor 3 walked past us no communication , no public announcement.
Fire assembly point signposting stopped after the car park. Left hotel guests standing around not knowing where to go next.
Staff came out at 0733. We all had to walk to her and get information as she did not make her presence known to all hotel guests.
