Location excellent for both transfer to transport and easy to get to attractions. Breakfast was outstanding, good quality, freshly cooked, attentive staff. Reception staff were very friendly and gave information about attractions. Facilities in the room were first class: lots of sockets, usb ports, hairdryer, iron, decent toiletries, blackout curtains, windows that opened, free to use safe, good quality bedding and towels.
We were given a room key on arrival but when we entered the room it was already occupied. This was very concerning, both in a general sense of how we were able to enter another guests room so easily, but also as females travelling alone we did feel somewhat unnerved that the hotel wasn’t as secure as we would like to think. We returned to reception and were given a key to another room on another floor. We received no explanation.
On our last day we left our luggage in the secure (locked) room whilst we went into town . On return we were asked for a receipt for our bags… we hadn’t been given one and at the time hadn’t thought to ask for one. The staff member allowed us to enter and retrieve our bags without actually having any way of knowing we took the correct ones. I would have preferred her to ask us to describe our bags and her retrieve them for us.
These two instances of security did concern us but luckily didn’t impact detrimentally on our stay. I’m not as sure the guest whose room we entered would feel the same.

There were a lot of large groups which made breakfast very busy. We tried different times but it was still busy.
