Bit in the location
I am beyond furious after our stay at Allurity Hotel. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and I will not be holding back.
The room was filthy when we walked in — it clearly had NOT been cleaned before we arrived. We were paying for a “clean” room and got nothing of the sort. On top of that, the door was broken and wouldn’t even close or lock properly.
But the absolute worst part? The shower was totally blocked and unusable. We could not shower AT ALL during our entire stay. Do you understand how unacceptable that is? We paid good money for basic hygiene and couldn’t even wash after a long day.
This is not what you’d expect from any hotel charging real money for a room. It felt neglected, uncared for, and honestly disrespectful to guests. Management clearly does not check rooms before guests check in.
Location
AirCon didnt heat..very cold. Noisy from Road Noise and people chat in street.
Great location and parking was great
Liked everything
closer to cbd and restaurants
Heat putting cool air out at night the room to small ,bathroom sink no bench top to put make-up etc.
location is great
staff were rude, scam hotel, Bought parking but didnt get any parking, Awful!
The motel is very central in Hobart City.
The single payment to have 12 hour access to the laundry is very good.
The rooms are very small.
The showers leak water all over the bathroom floors.
The TVs are very old.
There are no cooking facilities at all including no toaster or microwave.
The car park is not included in the price of the motel, $29 per day is a lot.
The car park is extremely crowded and hard to park a larger car or 4wd.
The problem below was resolved by a very kind staff member , who was actually finished work for the day. She gave me another doona, as requested and turned up the heat in the room. I will give that young lady a 10 out of 10 for her response! Slowly the room warmed up and all was well for the remainder of my 6 night stay. The location of Allurity Hotel is very good. Wonderful cafes and shopping very close by. I was in Hobart for the Festival of Voices and all venues were within easy walking distance. Enjoyed the food at the pub across the street.
When I arrived on a cold July night, the room was icy cold with an actual cold breeze coming through the c losed windows
I tried turning on the heater and only cold air came out. There was a thin doona on the bed and the spare blanket smelled like it hadn't been released to fresh air in years! That was not a good first impression of this hotel.
Clean and updated. Great location. Caitlin was super friendly and helpful.
Our room was very good.
The gentleman behind the counter were not as friendly as Caitlin. Didn’t even look up from the desk and never interacted with the guests as they walked past. She was very good. 5 stars to you Caitlin!!
I really liked the location, super close to restaurants and shopping. The view was also very good from our room and the staff were lovely! Good value for money.
Good location.
The hotel location was good
The lack of parking for vehicles
The personal touch from the front of house staff. I accidently left my phone there, and a staff member offered to drive it to my brothers house in Brighton. This makes the difference, having such caring people. Please find out who this staff member was and pass on our absolute praise and this staff member is one you want to retain and keep. 😀
Not much. We were not paying for a 5 star hotel, he staff were excellent and cleaning staff had no issues if we needed more supplies like toilet paper abd shampoo.
Location and value for money
Only suggestion would be doors, particularly the bathroom sliding door, door frames and walls could use a wipe over
The location
Only 1 bedside table and 1 light
No room in the bathroom to put anything: no shelves or cabinets at all
Only 1 coffee pod and coffee machine didn't work anyway
Heating didn't work and room was cold
No one at reception to fix anything
Parking fee for the night excessive at 29 dollars
The best part of the hotel is its location. You can walk to everything in the downtown tourist area. Hot water with good pressure in the shower. Coffee / tea kettle provided.
The hotel has that "cheap, run down" feel. It's old with cheap furniture. Old carpet, etc. The location is really the only advantage.
