SpringHill Suites by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

This hotel was exceptional. It was extremely clean, had a good breakfast, and the location was excellent. One street away, and you’re at the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Shout out to Cassidy for a smooth check in and Daniel for going above and beyond when my key card stopped working. I would definitely stay here again.

From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel welcome. A special thank you to Jordan at the front desk, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and his friendly attitude really made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Carlsbad!

The location is perfect! Being so close to the beach was amazing, and they provide free beach chairs and towels! Also, special shoutout to Jordan for providing outstanding customer service during my stay.

I had a great experience at Springhill Suites by Merriott. I was a first time guest. I reserved a room last minute because my son had a soccer game and the team moved to play semi final and final the next day early in the morning. We were unable to drive back to Glendale from San Diego. The reception area employees Jordan and Daniel were very pleasant and very helpful. They provided the information needed regarding the hotel they accommodated the reservation very quickly. I really appreciated their patience, politeness and kindness. I would definitely consider this place next time.

Fantastic Marriott property in a central location on Carlsbad boulevard. The staff (Giovanni, Zack, Jose, Sarah F and many others) were extremely professional, helpful, courteous and helped create a wonderful environment for a memorable stay. The breakfast is 15/10 and coffee is out early. The front desk staff will make you a cup of coffee during the day and evening upon request. The hotel has beach towels and even beach chairs available for checking out; Carlsbad State Park is right across the street and easily accessible. Tower 39 on the roof offers great food, libations and amazing sunsets. We had a multi-generational family stay and will definitely book here again!

The Springhill Suites is perfectly located, one block to the public beach and a few blocks from the center of Carlsbad Village. We parked the car in the hotel parking and walked everywhere. The rooms are clean, modern and enough space to keep 4 people out of each other’s way. Breakfast was small, but good way to get the morning going. The food and coffee were good.

The front desk staff were all great. It was a busy weekend and they handled the crowd well. Blake was especially accommodating with our checkout process.

We will certainly stay at this hotel on our next visit to Carlsbad.

Comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff! My husband I stayed here with our three grandchildren. We loved the close proximity to the beach and the village. Once we parked our car, we were able enjoy the hotel and the surrounding area. We were able to walk to restaurants, coffee, shops, and all the treats you could think! I also love the close proximity to the beach. We are able to walk there hang out go back to the hotel rest and return the beach. The hotel offered each towels, which made it easier with 3 kids. I can’t wait to return.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and upon checking in, I was lucky enough to be greeted by Jordan at the front desk. Jordan was able to recommend plenty of activities and restaurants nearby. Some restaurants he recommended were Toasted Gastro Brunch in Oceanside, Nick’s On State, and 264 Fresco. We tried all of his recommendations and they were all amazing. I will say that Toasted Gastro Brunch is about a 10-15min drive but if you have the time, you should definitely visit this restaurant. They are only open during brunch hours. If you go to Toasted Gastro Brunch, you can enjoy a beautiful walk on the Oceanside pier. He also informed us of all the amenities the hotel offers to get the most out of our stay. They have board games, beach towels, umbrellas, and a continental breakfast. The breakfast had a wide variety and the menu changes daily so you have plenty of options. We enjoyed our breakfast on the rooftop which had beautiful view of the village and the ocean. They also allow you to leave your bags at the front desk until your room is ready. We got there early and our room wasn’t ready so we were able to drop our bags and enjoy the Tower 39 restaurant. They offer amazing drinks and another beautiful view. Jordan actually put our bags in our room for us and upgraded us to a better room which was super kind of him and much appreciated. Jordan made us feel so welcome here and gave us over the top customer service. One negative aspect of our stay was that the second level elevator area had a very displeasing odor which I felt was unprofessional. This hotel is not budget friendly but might be worth the splurge because of the location. The upgraded room had a balcony and a view of the ocean. The rooms were underwhelming considering the price of the hotel. If you don’t plan on spending a lot of time in your room, the location can be worth the price. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and want to come back soon.

The location, the pool and spa

I really enjoyed my stay here! When I checked in, the gentleman, Jordan, at the front desk offered to carry my bags (I had so many haha). I have never experienced such service at other hotels before. He also had such a positive attitude and was immensely helpful. I really hope other hotels follow Jordan's example on hospitality, because of his kindness, I will book again!

Stayed here with my wife for our anniversary and it was fantastic. Thank you to Jordan at the front desk for making our welcome feel personal and non-scripted as well as the treats my wife and I got (plus a room upgrade!) Beach right across the street is beautiful and he also provided me with beach chairs and also recommended Nicks on State which was phenomenal. Whole trip was awesome nothing to complain about 👍

From arrival to departure, it was an incredible stay. JORDAN was incredible. He explained everything very well and thoroughly gave us a paper explaining everything that he went over with us. Offered us water and snacks complimentary sangria upon arrival. I asked if they had an ocean viewing facing room and he said no but offered us a late check out as a different type of upgrade. It was so accommodating and we had been traveling from Colorado and met alone just made things so much easier to not have to rush out of the room. Anytime I had a question all the staff for Pleasant everybody was smiling even the housekeeping passing you in the hallway.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Carlsbad. Breakfast had a great variety and the employees were very nice. I had the pleasure of being helped by Jordan and Sarah at the front desk. They were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating with a smile on their face and I will plan on going back. Definitely recommend this location!

Close to the beach

I really like how convenient it was to the beach

The hotel is across the street from the beach. Service is wonderful, breakfast options are varied and of good quality, and rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby provides ample space to relax or get work done if there’s a need to use a laptop. The hotel lobby area is also suitable for families with children. I did not use the the gym, still it looked neat and well equipped. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant with ocean views. The area is walkable and there are cute shops and restaurants close by.
Daniel at the front desk checked me in and we chatted about Dallas and Austin. All in all, front guest services, housekeeping, and the ladies tending to the breakfast area were top notch. Super professional and friendly. Check out was as smooth as check in.
If in Carlsbad, I would certainly book this hotel again 🙂

Warmest welcome right from the start! Joshua checked me in and he’s simply the best! 2nd day of my stay I met Jordan who was working with Joshua! These two represent what true customer service should look like. Making each guest feel welcome is so important. I really want to bring my family back to this hotel because it’s the perfect location with all the amenities you need.
