The place to stay
Pros:

What a wonderfully run hotel - from shuttle service to a great breakfast. Large, comfortable rooms with kitchens and great bed. Staff is top notch.

Great Breakfast!

I had a 24 hour trip disruption bc flight diversion to DC. I didn’t make it the first night. I wanted to know if I could check in early the next day and if I was already charged for the first night. answers varied about what happened with my room and charge and check in options. It took alot of time and I was so tired.

Apathetic staff who blamed room mix up on Trip Advisor
Pros:

We reserved our room through Trip Advisor. The room was described as 1 king and 1 double. At check in we were given a room with 1 king and a foldout couch. We (family of 4) went back to let them know and request the room type we had reserved. The woman checking us in seemed very bored and uninterested, tried to argue that the fold out couch was a “double bed” and then blamed it on Trip Advisor for giving the wrong room description. We were put in another room with 2 double beds. She said there would be no refunded amount because “a king and a double is the same as 2 double beds and is the going market rate”. The room we were put in overlooked the disgusting roof of the lower level of the hotel, with broken shingles, bird crap etc. The bed was so close to the entrance to the bathroom that we had to turn sideways and inch our way through. My son put his iPad up to the opening to the bathroom. It was the same length as his iPad! The hotel smelled like cigarettes, marijuana, and stale food when we arrived. It seemed to “air out” later in the day, but perhaps we had just gotten used to the smell. There was chewed gum ground into the carpet by the bed. Too many issues for the nightly rate at this hotel.
