What a wonderful stay! Everyone os so friendly! The grounds are gorgeous! Room was great too!
We had an amazing dinner at Sante restaurant. Melissa, our server was fabulous. She went above and beyond to attend to all the requests and needs of one of our party. And she did it all with Grace. She’s an amazing server. And I to complement Jen the chef on a delicious meal.
Such an amazing stay! We were in Sonoma for a client hospitality trip and worked with Debbe and Cecelia and both were so amazing! Can't recommed more!
Hosted a VIP group here for NASCAR weekend and the service from Debbe was great. Private dining in Sante with Dennis and Karen was smooth and made our group feel special. Hotel has a rustic and positive energy, and the grounds are a pleasure to walk around in and enjoy.
Rachel was my massage therapist. She was truly excellent. Why we have been coming to Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa for many years: It is truly a spa with real medicinal waters that have been sought and enjoyed for 150 years! It is elegant but not overdone and very down to earth. Everyone is so attentive and friendly. It is a retreat and a refuge --- what a spa is. A place to remove oneself from the weird world we live in and have time of reflection and quiet. Thank you
The saving grace of my stay at The Fairmont Sonoma, was Deb Williams at the hotel bar. She was extremely nice and welcoming to myself, my husband and our corporate group of 50 people. Her happy energy makes you want to sit and chat all things Sonoma, Deb had great recommendations for things to do, where to eat, and makes the best ,coldest martini in town! Make sure to stop by the lobby bar and ask for Deb!
The Property has beautiful lush green grounds with plenty of seating areas with fire pits. Lush greenery all around the pool, makes for a relaxing energy as soon as you walk onto the property. The spa needs to be remodeled and updated. Unfortunately my therapist did not show up for my appt and my massage was cut short by 20 minutes without any type of credit or compensation offered to me. Also my therapy room at the spa had water damage and horrible bright lighting making it hard to relax. On our last day, our room was never serviced, we left for over 8 hours and came back to the room how we left it. I was told it was too late for service and a bag full of towels was dropped off at my door at 10pm. I hope the Fairmont steps it up, it’s a great location with a lot of potential.
The staff from Valet, front desk, restaurant all were friendly and always checked to make sure if we needed anything. I will be recommending this hotel for my clients. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
The staff was very friendly.
The gentleman who was overseeing the pool area was by far the best!!!
Pool was great
No easy access to trails, overly expensive
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn. This is a classic old hotel, in a wonderful location, with a great staff. The grounds are pretty and the spa is excellent. I'd specifically like to thank Bailey Rodden who made every detail of our stay memorable.
Amazing massage! Every single employee we spoke with was WONDERFUL! And the food was delicious & beautiful
This place is such a GEM
Great experience at the Fairmont Sonoma Spa! The facility is pretty. A lot of outdoor lounging and lots to offer in terms of mineral soaks, sauna, steam, pools, treatment rooms and refreshments! I’ll book a treatment next time I’m in town
Just got back from an incredible trip with my husband— one of the best vacations we’ve ever had! The hotel was beautiful, the amenities were incredible, and the concierge (shoutout to Bailey and Elizabeth!) were wonderful! Their guidance and expertise were unmatched and helped create the perfect experience. I highly recommend and can’t wait to plan my next trip back!
What a fun day of sunshine, connection, and laughter, hanging with four of my best gal pals! We enjoyed excellent food and drink service from Kaitlin and Gerard and I had a fabulous deep tissue massage from Rosa! Good times, good memories 👏🏻💕☀️
I booked after asking about using the spa if my room wasn't ready, and I was told that I could. Check in was at 4:00 and I needed to be at a 5:00 wedding and if necessary, I'd get ready in the spa. However, the front desk (Desmond?), after looking at the computer and/or making calls, repeatedly told me it would be "just 15 minutes", "just a few more minutes", etc. TELL ME THE TRUTH please. I arrived around 1:30 and with hours to go, I could have spent time in the spa. Instead, the Spa was nice enough to give me a half hour in their facility when I gave up on the front desk. I traipsed around everywhere - luggage left with the car, luggage transferred to the front desk, luggage transfer to the spa, ... Iuggage back to the front desk. (I traipsed to my room to meet an "inspector" because the front desk told me that they were just waiting for it to be "inspected". The inspector did not want to deviate from his route so back to the front desk and then the spa. WHAT A MESS. Surely not worth the over $700 paid. And BTW, your beds are too high for safety. You really should give me some sort of credit. I would have been happier at a Motel 6 that had empathy. NEVER AGAIN would I come here expecting the ability to use the spa before my room is ready.
Great space! However, I had to get out of the big pool in the back, by the hot tub because I saw floating hair & detritus ALL OVER the pool surface. I went around the perimeter inside & could not escape. Totally grossed me out. Perhaps clean the pools more regularly, especially when there are more people?
The spa is very rundown. The lounges are mostly reserved for hotel guests and even though I paid $59 in addition to a large fee ;$350) for my very mediocre facial, I found myself on the most uncomfortable lounge I've ever met. There is traffic noise all around the spa, and on this particular Sunday, for some reason horns were being honked for several hours. The hotel is in a lower end residential neighborhood --not what you usually think of when you think of Sonoma. My trip inside the hotel itself revealed that the entire facility is rundown, and pretty tacky. My sandwich and lemonade served at the spa for lunch cost $48. i would not recommend this for anyone. There are much better places and I would not have gone except that Claude recommended it for its hot spring mineral water. I have my doubts that that was even what was in those pools.
The cost for our suite was as expensive as Paris - but the service was good.
Room climate control was faulty and needed constant adjustment or simply turn off.
Fan didn’t work properly, bathroom light was failing and smoke alarm flashes red. Patio door was quite challenging.
Room service was very good. But the hotel has a litany of charges it adds to the already inflated cost - making it an undesirable choice.
Parking overnight and valet parking was also expensive - pretty sure parking on the street was safe.
This resort is not a 10...it is a 22. The hospitality was OUTRAGEOUS! From the servers to the drivers...I felt so important and so valued. Rooms were clean, food was delicious and BRICE treated us so special. There were 10 of us...my book club's annual vacation. We did read on the trip, but mostly...WE DRANK WINE! I have no words to express how GORGEOUS this place is at night! The lights, the firepits, the chocolate chips cookies! We loved this resort. I highly recommend this resort. I will go again...RIGHT THERE!
My Bookclub consisting of 10 well traveled women.traveled to Sonoma to for our annual trip. The resort did not receive the best reviews, but we took a chance because Costco Travel recommended. In short our experience was nothing short of outstanding. Service is paramount to any experience and the ENTIRE team payed attention to each detail. Brice and his team made our stay memorable. Alisha welcomed us graciously, Pablo always had a smile and was wet accommodating, Holly took great care of us for late night bites. Elizabeth, Kasey and Sebastian were all excellent setting up transportation, reservations at vineyards and restaurants. Craig and the Valet crew went over and above to deliver a birthday cake to a restaurant for us because it was a surprise for one of our Bookclub Members. The spa staff especially Mario and Kaitlyn were phenomenal.
Every interaction with staff was exceptional. Do yourself a favor and visit this resort. Lots of amenities together with attention to detail made our stay exceptional. 10/10
