The property is within a wooded area off a side street in Sonoma. You would never know it was there driving down the main streets. It is beautifully landscaped and the staff are awesome. From the minute you arrive to the time you leave, they are right there taking care of your every need.
I didn’t stay long enough to enjoy all of its amenities offered. The pool area looked amazing. We were just too busy with other things to do this weekend.
What an oasis. The bathing ritual is fabulous. There is so much open outdoor space with trees and you can easily choose sun or shade. My massage was so relaxing.
I had a great experience! From check in to check out, everything was amazing!
Spa feels tired. My practitioner was mediocre. It was disappointing.
Lovely location, and we had a nice time, but they are clearly short staffed.
We called ahead to confirm we could check in early and when we arrived at 2pm , we were told we had to wait, they said they would notify the cleaning staff that we arrived so they would prioritize our room, at 10 minutes past 4pm, ( checkin is 4pm), we still hadn't been told our room was available. They had taken our luggage, but did not give us the receipt/ slip, and the luggage was not in our room once we got there, we had to go look for it, and after some time they sent a bellman to bring it to us.
They forgot the welcome glass of champagne, though the customers before and after got a welcome glass, the list of amenities was not available, they ran out.
While we waited for our room by the pool, several wait staff walked by and we could not catch their eye to order any food or drink, we had to finally walk up to the bar area where there was one person working very hard to catch up.
I had questions along the way and they staff didn't know and had to ask.
The room was nice - but the showers were very confusing and it was a challenge to get the actual shower to work.
That being said, everyone was very nice, but definitely overpriced for the quality of service.
We stayed one night to celebrate my dear friend’s birthday and every part of our stay was incredible. From our lovely visit to the spa soaking in the mineral water to our scrumptious dinner at Sante with the super thoughtful Jonathan and Gabriel to our energetic and historically informative hike of the Jack London park with Sally, it was a dream stay. Jonathan, Gabriel and Sally all made us feel like we were friends visiting their home in Sonoma. It was a magical experience! We will definitely come back again.
I am a fan of this property. However, if I am asked to pay an extra fee for a treatment on a weekend in order to have access to the spa, then I expect there to be sufficient attendants to periodically refresh towels, remove used lounge chair covers and the drink orders.
The massage was great. The overall experience was not.
I planned our stay here to propose to my girlfriend. I worked very closely with Casey the concierge to plan just about everything. She truly went above and beyond to ensure this weekend was as special as possible. She recommended restaurants, wineries, and a photographer to capture the proposal. I can’t thank her enough.
From arrival to departure, everyone at the Fairmont was kind, helpful, and warm. The grounds are stunning with flowers and greenery everywhere. We got massages at the spa, it was very relaxing.
Our room was beautiful and comfortable. After our proposal, we came back to rose petals spread throughout the room and some sparkling wine. They truly thought of everything and made this experience exceptional for my new fiance and I.
Relaxing treatment but unexpected resort fee. We had a good treatment but we were charged an extra $59 to use the facilities on top of the spa charge that was not disclosed in the reservation confirmation. I would not expect to pay extra to use the spa facilities if we are paying for a spa treatment .
Our one-day spa visit was satisfying and relaxing. My wife and I will surely be back very, very soon :)
WiFi was out, didn’t have any items on food menu provided, sauna temperature was below 90 degrees for over 5 hours despite requests to fix, cold plunge was non-operational
Bryce was AMAZING! He was professional and exceptional at his craft!
Left there feeling to relaxed and rejuvenated! LOVED the infrared therapy too!
Our stay was enjoyable, staff was friendly and helpful. Eric the bellman was exceptional. Very professional and helpful
room clean and comfortable
front desk staff deceptive. told us no room available but i found one for same night on booking.com. it was unprofessional to not tell us the truth about room availability
Just book here. It’s the perfect hotel. We stayed here for our honeymoon and they did all the things
- kindest staff that made us feel so special
- upgrade for free
- bubbly and chocolate strawberries in the room w/ note waiting for us
- heated outdoor pool
- beautiful grounds to walk with Redwoods!
The room was amazing (Mission Suites) we did room service for our first time ever and they set it up like a picnic. The Spa was amazing and a great place to relax. Our skin feels amazing from doing the ENTIRE Roman bathing ritual….plus the natural mineral spring water helps
For real though, the staff at this hotel gave us an unforgettable life experience. We will be going back for sure!!
Therapist was excellent but overall spa was a bit outdated. Wet room was lovely and had all necessary amenities.
Location and spa
Rude service. Didn’t explain the parking situation, we ended up paying $100 per one night
I made a booking for my wife’s birthday to have a spa day at the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa. Unfortunately we got sick with Covid right before our trip there. We requested a refund but the concierge WILMA denied our request stating that we didn’t make the cancellation in the appropriate window. Stating that we needed a doctor’s note or documentation of our sickness.
I would understand if this was an airline ticket or concert ticket where there is a limited number of openings but I think the refund policy is ridiculous as our not going had zero impact on their financial well being of the establishment. The spa denying our request for a refund, demanding proof of illness, and keeping our hundreds of dollars for unused services.
So wrong and greedy and unhelpful.
We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. They offer complimentary fitness classes at the fitness center and coffee/tea in the lobby in the morning. The staff was wonderful, our room was clean and well appointed. A shout out to Karen Mendez who helped us with our reservation as one night of our stay was via a St. Jude auction I was the lucky bidder on. Kudos to the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn for supporting this auction. Overall, lovely property and staff.
