Personnel was very friendly and professional. Room location was great - close to a great variety of restaurants and market and not so far from the main train staton. It was great to sitting on the balcony and enjoying peaceful environment
As we walked from the train station, it would be good if an advice was provided how to reach the hotel by foot in order to spare travellers of using stairs (long stairs) with their luggages.

Loved the happy hour when we arrived each night (complimentary drink) where Samuel and Maria gave us ideas of where to visit.
Easy to get to from train station. Just take bus 30 and I think it was first stop and hotel is just behind the bus shelter

However the second morning we decided to try it and it was very good.
Clean, comfortable room, very good location for exploring the old town of Basel.
Not the fault of the hotel, but most tourists need to get used to high prices in Switzerland.

On the pictures the property looks a little bit like just another business hotel. It reality it is really charming and far more individual than one might think, a really pleasant surprise. The hotel comes with a cleverly designed hidden garden centred around a water bassin. I had a single room which came with a large confortable bed. The room comes with a Nespresso machine and fabric covered cupboard for your clothes. The shower comes with high end Grohe faucets. Breakfast is excellent. The staff is extremely friendly. The hotel is situated close to the railway station, the museums and there is a direct tramline to the Beyerle foundation.

Everything was so good. The staff were very kind, and the location is very near the center. The breakfast was nice and sufficient. Also, it had a very cute garden.
The room was quite small but comfortable enough for a short stay. Room slippers could be added

Naprosto skvěle ubytování kousek od starého města i ZOO. Personál na recepci příjemný a ochotný. Pokoj menší, ale velice útulný a čistý. Na pokoji kávovar, pravidelně doplňován. Človek se zde cítil velice příjemně.
Nemám co vytknout. Jednu noc se spalo hůře, bylo večer a v noci slyšet odněkud koncert, ale to je věc, kterou nelze ovlivnit
Alles sehr cozy eingerichtet und der Garten hat super zum Verweilen nach einer Stadttour eingeladen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden sofort wieder dort einchecken, wenn wir wieder mal in Basel sein sollten.
Das Bad ist lediglich mit Glasschiebetür verschlossen und es gibt diverse kleine Bereiche zum rein lügen. Akustisch hat man hier keine Privatsphäre. Für uns als Paar nicht schlimm, aber sollte man wissen 😅
Und die Zimmer sind akustisch nicht ganz optimal gedämmt, aber mit Oropax kein Problem
Ansonsten fanden wir die Bettbreite auch etwas zu schmal für zwei Personen, aber auch das ist bei einem kurzen Aufenthalt zu verkraften 😊
